If Buttigieg somehow gets the nomination (I don't think he will and he shouldn't), but I can already see the Russian, homophobic ads targeting African American voters, specifically African American men. It'll be a mess.

I would have to read those articles to come to a conclusion. I'm sure the Washington Post has been fair to him - they have good reporters there. Bernie complaining and whining as per usual.

I have always wondered why Election Day is not a federal holiday on the US. Has any candidate proposed to make it one ? That's kinda backward tbh. If it is a federal holiday, I think voting #s would significantly go up.

And why aren't the Democrats making the Supreme court more of an issue in this election.

I think the NY model should be applied throughout. Poor Americans have been treated at some of the best hospitals for $0.00 once they are making a certain amount of $. Is it not like that in other states?

Well if they dont have an option for employment based insurance (which should be cheaper), then there already IS an option for them. Can they not get on Medicaid? Medicaid is already working well for a lot of poor people. And what I meant by poor service, the federal government will be overwhelmed. My experience with most government agencies have been poor, and I expect the same to occur with healthcare. They don't have a good track record.

Medicare 4 All with no option for private insurance is simply not gonna work. And good luck with getting a potential Republican senate to go along with it. I dont even see a Democrat controlled Senate going along with it. I like my private insurance and anything the government touches will be turned into poor service and long waits. There are problems with costs for some people right now, I think it is best we fix those problems and have a public option especially for poor Americans. This is why Democrats will probably go with Biden. If Warren was a bit more flexible on healthcare, she would be much more of a threat. I dont see how she will adjust in a general election after such a hard stance.

As long as Biden maintains his lead among minorities, he'll win esp. among older African Americans. That is why attacking or the perception of going against Obama is risky. I think there was a poll that said Buttigieg supporters would go for Biden? I could be wrong. Gillibrand is kinda boring, I don't see it for her.

This is all assuming if Biden falls apart. I'm kinda torn because I love Warren too and she would be the only one I'd support right away if Biden some how spirals out of control. I like the idea of Warren/Abrams, but something tells me her team is gonna think an all-female ticket would be too risky.
