I thought he explained it well, though I don’t know the backstory of what his taxes were supposed to have shown. What I got is that he has debt, but that debt is low, relative to overall worth. In the same way most families purchase homes with a mortgage. Yes, they have debt, but they aren’t exactly “in debt”. In others words, they handle it just fine, and it’s within their abilities to pay it.

I’m not sure how much of your post is truth, but my understanding was that a significant interest in regaining (or maintaining Cuban citizenship) had to do with the desire to purchase property in Cuba. Particularly when Obama was opening it up to Americans and many anticipated investment opportunities.

“Excessive” or not is entirely subjective, and my point was that, despite infection rates, many feel that the entire coronavirus itself has been unduly hyped to be something it’s not. And with that perception, the response absolutely seems dramatic. Its not an unpopular sentiment, but it is mostly unspoken as it’s considered politically incorrect to question either Corona or the response to it (if arguing it’s been too extreme). The climate we live in doesn’t tolerate that kind of discussion. And yet, a ton of people feel exactly that way (regardless of their politics).

Yea, I should have been more specific. When i said frustrated by the response, I meant frustrated by a perceived excessive, unnecessary, and disproportionate response to Corona. A LOT of people feel that way. Frustrated by the perceived excessive response, & not the virus. The media ignores them, and shames them the few times they do acknowledge them, but “they” are a bigger group than is currently known. Same for those turned off by the BLM / looting/ civil disobedience/ anti- law enforcement vibes of the past few weeks. And none of this is mentioning how terrible a candidate Biden is. Again, unscientific, & unsubstantiated. True. But we’ll see how crazy it sounds by October. By all means, quote me.

I know it sounds crazy. I live in California (bay area) and the vast majority of people I talk to (yes, purely anecdotal) are frustrated by the restrictions more than the virus. And then among my (black) family, all-race of friends/etc, people are bugging out at the idea of defunding police as a solution to current issues. That + seeing a surprising (to me) vocal consensus on YouTube comments (& even random non-political Pinterest quotes) about how corrupt and biased the media is.... I just feel a shift in the air. Obviously it’s not scientific. But I sense a LOT of frustration (the type the media ignore or shames) that, IMO is only going to grow. Tbh, I think the exact things working against Trump now are going to flip in his interest by November as their one-sided framing is challenged by Trump, and by time itself. Watch.

Add in the combination of the Republican narrative of Democrats wanting to simultaneously defund the police and open the borders. That will sound splendid. Add to that the resumption of trump rallies, roaring sold-out crowds, and a fumbling Biden (in the near future when he can no longer hide). But mostly it’s just the frustration I sense that isn’t been acknowledged by the mainstream media at all, on all issues (looting/ policing/ Corona/ etc).

It’s amazing how successfully the media has (intentionally) confused people about the entire “Corona” situation. What do you mean by the virus could have been “contained”? It was always going to spread, regardless of what any leader/people/nation did. Even now we’re only quarantining to slowly the spread as to not overwhelm hospitals, not stamp it out of existence. Two very different things. The fact that people actually believe Trump (or anyone) could have stopped or contained it. So maddening lol
