Tyla - "IS IT LOVE"
This song is good. But yes, SDIA should have absolutely been pushed further. It happens with every release. Jump, Truth or Dare, Push 2 Start, and Chanel have all been just forgotten. I really don't think it's her, there's only so much you can do on social media but it is what it is. Regarding IS IT LOVE, at (least) this song has adlibs in the final chorus. It has been one of my biggest small nitpicks with her songs. A lot of the times they'll just copy and paste the first chorus, so it's good to have some dynamism here. Amapiano is very vibe-y in music with not a lot of changes in the format so I've accepted that long ago. Her most dynamic song is To Last tbh.

Tyla & Zara Larsson - "She Did It Again"
Tyla never misses, even if some songs aren't all on the same level. Nice video. Happy we got more than one look. I do want Tyla to give us choreo again ala Been Thinking. She clearly can.

Tyla & Zara Larsson - "She Did It Again"
The Tyla conversation is so funny to me. People can listen to the same rehashed 80s revival music, cliché-pop music, Trap-N-B and bop (nothing wrong with it) but Tyla sticking to the pop-amapiano genre is where they draw the line. She has made it abundantly clear she will stick to her roots and the music that makes her happy. Even with that, Push 2 Start sounds nothing like Jump which sounds nothing like To Last which sounds nothing like Been Thinking. As for SHE DID IT AGAIN, very catchy song, has been since the snippet. It's very Tyla. I do wish that she would expand on building out her songs: more background vocals, adlibs in the final chorus, even more instrumentation. Copy and pasting the same take is a very her formula but it'd be nice to switch it up. Zara didn't take from the track nor did she really add much to it and that's coming from a big fan of hers too. Alas, it'll be stuck in my head like every other Tyla track but we'll see how it moves things. Very frustrating that the label gave up on Chanel though, should have easily ridden through to summer with the right promo push.

KATSEYE - 'WILD'
I started out really loving these girls, despite the mishaps with some of the music (even if I have come to enjoy most of their releases over time). But it really, really, really sucks to see Manon go. It's just not going to be the same. She was my introduction to the group during the DA days. I have love for all of them, and wish them the best.
