Lets be honest they only gave her "creative control" because they moved onto Doja for Black Pop Star position. Look I would love for her to be a Pop star diva but she obviously doesn't want that she wants to be an r&b girlie. So us harping on the what ifs isn't gonna do us fans any good. And she's never gonna be the social media person fans want, because thanks to racist stans now she's extremely traumatized and thanks to assholes with a normani hate boner I don't see that changing anytime soon. I have high hopes for her being a mega star but I'm not getting hypertension over this. I'm gonna always support her because I'm a supporter but if Normani wants it she's gonna get it. I know we wanted her to be in a Beyonce or Rihanna lane but I would be happy if she gets a Kelly or Ciara career. They have great careers that work for them. So if Normani gets a successful career she's happy and content with that's a great thing to me. Sad things didn't work out the way we all hoped for but hey at this point it is what it is.

I personally feel like she "didn't play the game" because she was still scarred by making and creating pop songs she didn't have any say in. I do think she should explore the pop route more like Rihanna did but she's the one who has to sing and present these songs so honestly I can't say much because I can empathize that she is still dealing with her trauma from that group and then the added online hate she gets now.

I lowkey kinda happy she didn't relase the physicals yet. For the vinyls at least cause I rather she release vinyls for a deluxe edition of the album. And even tho we sadly didn't get any visuals yet she should be releasing regular music videos AND dance cut versions of the music videos especially since people wanna see her dance and perform. Or for the songs of the album that doesn't get music videos she should release dance cut videos for those songs. Cause idk if she's gonna be giving me the Lights On video I deserve or not but if not I want a dance video to the song.

I don't think she thinks she "too cool" for it I just think she's still traumatized and triggered by social media. And she's not wrong. People stay hating on her because they think she's an easy target. Same with Chloe.

I think she only picked CP cause that's what fans kept begging for since that leaked footage of her and her friends dancing to it at the Wild Side listening party or whatever event that was. I think if fans knew what was in store they would have never went to bat for CP.

That's true but let Normani be more than just a visual artist. Haven't heard the album yet but with all the glowing reviews on here I take it that she has a good eat for music. Yes music videos are important but we need to stop panicking and having meltdowns over things we cant control. Let these songs stand on their own. If the numbers are bad then so be it but yall also said CP wasn't gonna do much and it debuted at #4 on the r&b charts with NO video, not much promo, and with a not so great rollout. We need to stop being so quick to collect invisible Ls and start collecting the Ws. Because at the end of the day stressing about "visuals" is pretty silly. Normani will be fine and so will us fans. Enjoy the album cause that's what everyone was begging for and now we're getting it. That's an amazing thing after years of nothing but music videos and singles.

It would have been dope if she or a film maker had documented the whole process from when she first debuted with Love Lies or Motivation to now the release of the project. Seeing just how much it took to get here. She could have called it Dopamine: 5/6 years in the making. It would have been great to see in 4k her thought and creative process during this whole thing.

I think yall just need to chill out about this tracklist. Yall stay panicking, which I understand, but the meltdowns and negativity have ran off one of our insiders which sucks. Honestly just let the cards fall where they may and just support sis. That's all we can control.

I'm actually not mad about the leaked songs (a lot of people didn't even listen to outside of The Nation) being on the album. From what I heard from Insomnia, Blue (even tho it's not gonna be on the album), etc. they sound so damn good from the leaks so I can only imagine how they sound now especially Insomnia with Brandy as a feature. I'm also excited to see how they rework Black Woman. Unpopular opinion but I'm not mad at that being on the album cause I want another Black Woman Anthem and I can already see black women making that trend on TikTok like how they did Halle's Angel. I'm just so excited we're all finally getting the album. This is a dope time, especially if it is a visual album which i hope it is, and this is what we all begged for cause I remember fans saying "ugh I don't want another meaningless going nowhere single just give us the album" so I guess they listened.

Honestly I think yall just need to calm the hell down and just support this single. We got a date for the album and everything. All this worrying is gonna give yall a **** ton of wrinkles.

Is it even up to her when it comes to releasing music? I don't understand why people think she's an indie artist. She can't just release when she wants to. That's ultimately up to RCA to decide that. But I do think she should promote herself more and give people something other than silence but we can't just say "she needs to release at this point" or "why don't she just release it already" that's not how it works.
