  1. Which barriers she (Beyoncé) broke ???
  2. Therefore, your personal opinion makes the whole topic null and void, because IN YOUR MIND (and yours ONLY), you answered your own question. Also, Madonna was a trandsetter, she shooked the boundaries and set up new horizons to women about expressing themselves in the music industry in a VERY sexist and misogynitic society. She was very important (if not pioneer) in that regard. Beyoncé NEVER did that ! The whole voguing thing was very popular dance in the ballrooms but SHE made it popular on a commercial scale. Beyoncé NEVER did that ! Making a "country" album isn't risk-taking in 2024, especially not from a pop-artist (southerner at that). Beyoncé did NOTHING that shook the industry politically, musically like Madonna did. Madonna was censored and "blackballed" for singing about sex and taking a stand against Iraq war in 2003. (The Dixie Chicks who were very popular country singers went off against Bush's politics and NEVER recovered from that) Beyoncé NEVER did that ! Beyoncé ALWAYS played it safe ! Not a diss because she doesn't have to SHOCK (for the sake of it) to sell, but Madonna is WAY BIGGER than selling albums/tours, etc. She had an actual POINT OF VIEW in her artistry despite being ironically VERY limited talent-wise.
  3. Swifties. It's a no brainer !
  4. PREACH !!! Let's be honest, what was appealing to audience in general was his sexy appeal, his dance moves, but also his R&B/Pop/blue-eyed soul sounds that used to be characteristic of him, etc... He lost of all of that now, since nearly a decade even, and the music isn't appealing enough anymore, therefore people are turn their backs on him (and rightfully so). It has NOTHING to do with Britney (it happened in 2002 lmao), no one think about it or even give a single **** about the situation in big 2024 !
  5. Again, y'all so desperate, it shows that y'all weren't really alive during Madonna/MJ heydays. If that's all she got then what about Britney Spears back in 2001, or Gaga when "Alejandro" MV came up and Vatican wanted the broadcasting of the video banned. Where "Formation" is an equivalent of "American Life", "Erotica", "Black Or White", "They Don't Care About Us", etc... like come on ! Bey is a great artist "Get Me Bodied", "Upgrade U", "Me Myself & I", "Baby Boy", "Diva", "Check On It" are personal classics of mine, but she's NOWHERE near where Madonna/MJ were musically. Both of them pushed the enveloppe in the music industry, Bey so far, DID NOT, and that's ok !
  6. Saying THE TRUTH about her doesn't make you a "hater". Bey will be FOREVER a legend from her generation, but she's NOT the ultimate early 00's ender, especially internationally, because here in France, no one really cares about her like that (it's the same basically in the rest of Europe basically). Also, it's funny how people wanna push the narrative that she's like the Madonna or the MJ of modern times, like LMFAO. Beyoncé NEVER made an album or a song that was controversial and overwhelmed society with touchy topics like "Erotica", "American Life" did for Madonna, or "They Don't Care About Us", "Black Or White", "Earth Song", "Heal The World" did MJ, she NEVER had a hit song that talked about rebellion or pushed the enveloppe about sexuality, global warming, war, politics, interracial relationships, racism, etc... They were boycotted like crazy when both of them did, were destroyed by the press at the time for it, and still survived musically despite all the scrutiny. All of those made Madonna and MJ LEGENDARY for real, especially in times where social medias didn't even exist. Beyoncé is legendary on her own, but she's FAR from Madonna/MJ, way TOO FAR ! Eminem sells A LOT but no one really cares about him like that either.
  7. That's simply NOT TRUE. Madonna, P!nk, Mariah Carey for example all flopped at some point and made a huge comeback. Madonna actually flopped TWICE (early 90's and in 2003 with American Life) and came back TWICE. She even had huge eras (Ray Of Light & Music) back to back after her first flop. After American Life huge backlash, she came back unexpectedly with Confessions On The Dancefloor in 2005.
