Britney Spears new certifications in US
My Only Wish is only Gold. So low for a Christmas hit song. Britney’s stats are so overrated.

Britney Spears new certifications in US
Do you really wanna play the collab card, ugh? - Britney’s last top 10 is a DUET and it underperformed as it’s only eligible for platinum ; - Britney’s last tanked platinum song features G-Eazy ; - Britney’s last #1 was given by Rihanna (a flopped one hence it’s only Gold) ; - Britney’s last top 3 and best-selling digital hit, Scream & Shout, is a FEAT in which she’s not even a LEAD artist. William has much bigger hits than it with the BEP ; - Britney’s penultimate top 3 was saved by Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj (and it’s forgotten trash). Britney couldn’t even save the collabs of her own albums seeing how she made Madonna bomb. And that was during her prime! MATM is Gold and has abysmal streams: 58M on Spotity. Christina’s collabs are alignated with success ; that’s the difference.

Britney Spears new certifications in US
I Wanna Go & Piece Of Me sold 1,8M pure sales in the US and they’re only certified double platinum. HIAM sold 1,6M digital downloads and it stands at 2m certified units. This shows how much Britney’s streams suck. You’d have thought that Criminal was double platinum at least seeing all the hype it received from her stans on Tik Tok and Twitter. Beyoncé’s « flop » singles from the 4 era: RTW & LOT (both 4x platinum) stomped on it.

Britney Spears new certifications in US
Britney (album) gets 251,105 on Spotify. It’ll be slowed down to 5x platinum for a quite while in my opinion.
-
Britney Spears new certifications in US
Never. Those albums generate low streams (especially Self-Titled) that it won’t be able to generate significantly more units than their pure sales. See In The Zone sold 3M pure sales in the United States yet it’s not even 4x platinum.

Britney Spears new certifications in US
It sold 2,4M pure in the US. The fact that it’s 3x platinum shows that the streams are really low (100M on Spotity…). The song has not had popularity over time.

Britney Spears new certifications in US
Well good news for her stans. Britney hasn’t had a multi-platinum in 15 years then (since Circus) Her total certified units in the US stand at 96,5M now. But that’s still lower than Gaga’s 107M units.

Britney's streams surge on Spotify: Toxic 1.2M, Circus 558K
And I don’t really give a **** about your cherry-picking. Whether you like it or not, Moves Like Jagger is part of Xtina’s discography according to Billboard, RIAA and Spotify. And it’s STOMPING on every Britney song: Moves Like Jagger — 961,162 Toxic — 754,857 Gimme More — 544,427 …Baby One More Time — 515,394 Oops!… I Did It Against — 458,778 Also I’m delighted that my other fav, Gaga, DESTROYS your fav in terms of success.

Britney's streams surge on Spotify: Toxic 1.2M, Circus 558K
Not you trying to lump Born This Way with Hold It Against Me to prove they’re similar achievements. Worldwide digital sales: Born This Way — 10,330,000 Hold It Against Me — 3,750,000 Spotify: Born This Way — 543M Hold It Against Me — 71M You really thought you ate. And I know you’re not downplaying Gaga’s collabs when: - Britney’s last #1 was given by Rihanna (a flopped one hence it’s only Gold) ; Britney’s last top 3 and best-selling digital hit, Scream & Shout, is a FEAT in which she’s not even a LEAD artist ; - Britney’s penultimate top 3 was saved by Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj ; - Britney’s last top 10 is a DUET and it underperformed as it’s only eligible for platinum.

Is Britney a legend?
Outside the United States, most of them are automatic such as in the UK. And Criminal is certified platinum in ZERO countries outside the US. Plus I don’t even believe it’s eligible for 2x platinum in the US when it didn’t even crack 1M downloads et the peak of downloads. It’s 1x platinum eligible which is clearly bad for a 2011 song. Compare the streams of Criminal to actual smash hits from 2011. Spotify : Born This Way - 543M Judas - 380M Criminal - 223M

Britney's streams surge on Spotify: Toxic 1.2M, Circus 558K
Moves Like Jagger — 961,162 ——————————–————— BARRIER ——————————–————— Toxic - 754k Moves Like Jagger has outLIVED ANY Britney song. You really thought I wasn’t going to realize that you excluded it on purpose?!

Britney's streams surge on Spotify: Toxic 1.2M, Circus 558K
Shakira and Beyoncé are doubling her numbers, you really thought you did somerhing? You’ll understand why she only has 1B+ streamed song on Spotify.
-
Britney's streams surge on Spotify: Toxic 1.2M, Circus 558K
Those numbers aren’t good in comparison to Taylor, Beyoncé, Sia, Miley, Shakira, Rihanna, Gaga, Katy, Lana, etc..
-
Britney's streams surge on Spotify: Toxic 1.2M, Circus 558K
Those streams are really bad despite a boost. Really weak when compared to Gaga’s numbers: Poker Face — 902k Shallow — 891k Just Dance — 756k Toxic — 754k Always Remember Us This Way — 722k Bad Romance — 671k Gimme More — 544k Bloody Mary — 541k ...Baby One More Time — 515.4k Paparazzi — 507k Oops!...I Did It Again — 458k Hold Me Closer — 421.k The fact that Gaga has three songs out-streaming any Britney track and that Bloody Mary released as a single in 2022 out-performed Hold Me Closer.

Is Britney a legend?
Criminal is certified platinum in ZERO countries It’s not a flop you’re right, it’s a HUGE bomb. TTWE was the only thing close to a hit that she got from that era. Although 4x platinum eligible after 12 years is not really impressive.

Is Britney a legend?
"Biggest SOLO hit" how can Scream & Shout a featuring be a SOLO hit adjdkkdd. Also Payphone and Girls Like You are NOT bigger that Moves Like Jagger Digital worldwide sales: Moves Like Jagger - 20,140,000 ———————————————— Payphone - 14,000,000 Girls Like You - 1,840,000 (I know GLY was released in the streaming era but it’s getting terrible recurrent streams compared to Moves Like Jagger: Spotify Moves Like Jagger - 909,368 ———————————————————- Girls Like You (feat. Cardi B) - 292,979 + Girls Like You (Solo) - 207,106 Meanwhile Scream & Shout is Britney’s best-selling hit and FAR from being William’s biggest seller. I Gotta Feeling - 17,700,000 Boom Boom Pow - 14,350,000 The Time (Dirty Bit) - 9,300,000 ———————————————— Scream & Shout - 8,650,000 Prior to S&S, 3/4 of Britney’s singles from the FF era flopped. We all saw how William gave her last sizeable hit.

Is Britney a legend?
The digital era started started in October 2004 that’s when it started to count in the charts. And Britney’s last multi-platinum was released prior to the digital age. Blackout, Circus, Femme Fatale are NOT multi-platinum, no matter how hard you’re trying to convince us. Billboard 3 million, In the Zone / 1.7 million, Circus 1.6 million, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative / 1 million, Blackout / 805,000, Femme Fatale / 280,000, Britney Jean / 268,000, The Singles Collection

Is Britney a legend?
ASIB is 2x platinum and that was 10 years into Gaga’s career… Black-out, Circus, Femme Fatale are NOT multi-platinum. https://postimg.cc/ZWwdZs90 As you can check by yourself: Billboard 3 million, In the Zone / 1.7 million, Circus 1.6 million, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative / 1 million, Blackout / 805,000, Femme Fatale / 280,000, Britney Jean / 268,000, The Singles Collection The fact that Britney’s last multi-platinum was released two ******* decades ago, in the physical era. Her peers as Beyoncé were thriving getting multi-platinum albumS in the 2010s and they’ll still get it in the 2020s.

Is Britney a legend?
Not this frontloaded flop song. It’s only 2x platinum eligible after 12 years. It’s like bragging about S&M remix hitting #1 when it’s Gold. I can’t believe we’re talking about legend status with those stats.
-
Is Britney a legend?
William had much bigger hits than Scream & Shout with the BEP, namely I Gotta Feeling and Boom Boom Pow. Whereas Scream & Shout is Britney’s biggest hit commercially - at least when it comes to digital units. And certainly, Moves Like Jagger is Maroon’’s 5 biggest major success.
-
Is Britney a legend?
The ignorance/revisionism. Gimme More was not huge at all back then. If anything GM gained relevance over time due to Tik Tok. It sold a mere 1,8m downloads in the US which is clearly weak for 2007 standards. This explains why it didn’t even make the YEC. Ans it’s really paradoxical to brag about Scream & Shout’s success when Britney’s only a feat. in the song that she didn’t even co-write. Gaga is a lead artist in Shallow and most of the songs in the OST. Plus she has the LEAD role in the movie which showcases the success of the project is alignated with her.

Is Britney a legend?
Thanks to whom is not the point. Blackout and Femme Fatale landed low numbers compared to Britney’s peers and the other MPGs at that time: Beyoncé, Shakira, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado, Adele, Rihanna, Katy Perry, etc..
