  1. I always watch it like when it doesnt matter anymore, like a year later, just so I will not help her when it is important like first weeks lol I dont like her, so it is always nice to see her going worst and worst.
  2. It is clear she can't, but at least fans will have more docs
  3. She will always be the failed Britney wannabe that not even Britney wants to claim
  4. I like to talk about artists like her because people generally give Madonna way too much credit when it comes to talk about minorities and women rights. Even on the performance side of things, for me she was much more accomplished dancer.
  5. Not my translation, but I think it is good enough to understand it.
  6. I think it can mean oral and anal, on the second verse she talks about vulgarity and overcome taboo so "we can love more and more". I don't know if vulgarity means the same as in Portuguese, but for me vulgar indicates more of raunchy kinky stuff, I don't think oral was so taboo even then, but maybe it was. I think she also wanted to reach the gays since she was surrounded by them and some think she was also part of the community.
  7. There are two Spanish versions, one is censored, the video I posted is the censored one, the lyrics translation I posted is the uncensored. Here is the uncensored: it seems a lot of her songs had a censored version, even the choreography, some performances she won't go all the way down when talking about "going down south".
  8. "Everyone says that love Is a friend of madness, but for me, who is already crazy, It's the only thing that heals me" Continuing the pop history series about Raffaella Carra, this 1978 song was pushing the limits once more. "Tanti Auguri" gained a Spanish version called "Hay que venir al sur" - which could have a double meaning, "you have to come down south" or "you have to CUM down south". For a Italian singer, this was not received so well by the Catholic church. For quite sometimes Raffaella got in trouble with the Pope. First with her hit 1969 song "Tuca tuca" (touch touch) a song about a game of "touching each other". So, some people believed her to be the devil's friend. The lyrics puts Raffaella in the first person, talking about how "she had loads of experiences" and that she got to understand "where there isn't hate and war, love becomes king" she goes on to say "life without lovers is a living hell" and if the women got dumped, they just should find someone else "as long as you do what gives u pleasure". "I found out that after innocence is lost, life is much better when u come down south." This song was a massive hit in Spanish speaking countries. She was also her own choreographer, she brought her trade mark "head banging move" to this song also. Full lyrics translation: So do u agree with her?
  9. In the spanish speaking world, in countries like mine - Brazil - people don't even know her before the tiktok meme. It is interesting she had several peaks. Her plane all along was to be a choreographer, so she was the mind behind her own performances. Later she would be one of the best paid women in TV (world wide) as a presenter. And she world replicate this in Spain. She pretty much worked until her death, she was still giving interviews right before the pandemic. She released a full electronic album in 2013. Here she is at 71 doing a medley of some of her hits: It is also interesting to know that she met people like Madonna, Tina Turner, Britney, cause they all performed at her TV show. She was rumored to be a lesbian due not having kids and being married to a one of her dancers, but no one know for sure. She did a lot of charity work and after her death it was revealed she sponsored about 30 thousand kids in third world countries. She knew she was about to die and her planed her funeral and she wanted to be buried in the most humble way. But her funeral attracted so many people, in the heights of pandemics, local government gave her a high honor funeral for 3 days to give people the opportunity to pay respects. Lines would go all over the city. She wanted to be cremated and people gathered on the streets to pay their last homages, mind u, it was during the pandemic. She was truly one good person.
  10. Since her debut single during pandemic, she is the closer we have of having a performer back in us pop. She is hot, she can dance, her singing is not that important in this field. She is what Tate wished she could be.
  11. it is a great result for this single, u guys really expects it to be a hit? it wont!! it is a good song, best from her in years, but is just not commercial the only thing that could make it hit is if the video is extremely viral, considering that no one watches music videos anymore, it wont happen
  12. Overprotected, the original mix. It was really a personal song who was much more about her life than Lucky. People nowadays feel like Lucky was he moment of true when it really wasn't. Overprotected was the truth, she had to be perfect, she couldn't do mistakes... this was the root of all her future problems.
  13. If u don't know Raffaella from the tiktok meme, u should know her because she was one of the greatest pop performers of all time. She was a household name in Italy and she even got a Hollywood contract to develop her career there. She did some movies, but choose to go back because couldn't stand being homesick. It wouldn't be her last time attepenting an international crossover. In Italy she was a famous host and performer with several hits. Her 1976 single "A far l'amore comincia tu" with her "head banging" dance move and controversial lyrics for that period (in Italy dominated by catholicism) with such lyrics like "to make love, u are the one who starts it... if he brings u to an empty bed, give him back the emptiness, make him understand it is not a game, in making love u are the starter" was an instant hit. It gained several international versions turning her into a Latin America (Spanish speakers) and Spain huge star. And even breaking into the UK Charts at #9. She recorded a total of 5 versions, and went on a promo tour: Spanish French German
  14. Tommy Mottolla offered her a crossover opportunity, she took it. During the album production her brother fell very ill, being in the hospital for months. She wanted to be by his side, but the record company pressured and threatened her with a law suit if she didn't go back to the studio. She says that brought her so much depression that she can't to this day do any material from the album. She completed the project, but releasing it was a nightmare. It was by the time Mottolla was going out the company and they were make label fusions, letting people go and reducing promo budgets. They only released the album in some eastern European countries. Only recently to the stream services and they asked her to promote it and she refuse to do so because of what she went through production. She took almost a decade hiatus after this project. The lead: Second single:
  15. When it comes to pop concerts, no one will ever top Mylene Farmer for me. Not only the structure, but the ideas and flawless executions. The 2019 residence opening is for me the best, pity I can't find the professionally filmed version on utube, but u can get a taste: The 2013 Timeless tour, how the whole light structure moves around: The 2006 one, it has a similar idea to the Vortex but a totally different execution and feel to it, not only her decent inside a coffin from up above, but the bridge, the opening of the main stage etc: 2000 Mylenium Tour - This is the most out worldly you will get from a pop diva, it really feels u are witnessing a fairy tale unfold, she really feels like a magic being: 1996 - her Vertige entrance, I love it because she uses a ton of technology but they are all working for her, she is not the slave of technology, she is the mistress of it, once more she looks like a out worldly being, a magical one and a whorish one at the same time.
