Smile completes the album, the album needed 1-2 more like this imo. What a great production.

Just based on the post-Flowers singles, I'm cynical of her numbers, but I appreciate Atlantic's (smart) attempt with LGM on album release day and actually having at least a push/video out. It feels somewhat justice for Columbia fumbling with Jaded being a potential hit during ESV release. Can see it taking off with Tik Tok (her Lover/Perfect) and the fall season

Let's Get Married video out on release day… is this the buzz single instead of Different Religion? Seems like the smarter 2nd single choice, or if it's just a buzz single to keep pushing Bass Persuades.

Hopefully! It's definitely a grower album, I was kind of iffy on DR when I listened to it the other day and now I can't stop

It's definitely more midtempo and 80s soft rock than anticipated. It's only a first listen ofc so my opinion will change, but Innocent Ways, Different Religion, Aftermath, and Let's Get Married are the ones I can see really sticking with me. Neon Signs is kind of a chop on first listen, and that's coming from someone who loves her psychedelic midtempos. On top of the SB/DP tones of the album that everyone has been saying, I hear some ESV* (derogatory) throughout some of it too which I was surprised by on first listen. * in the sense that it felt too middle of the road I'd rank it below 1) SB & 2) PH for me, but obviously room for it to grow on me!
