Same, I thought this album was going to be the one for her to have acclaim, because the music is genuinely breaking new ground and she's at the height of her craft. I suppose there's more reviews to come... but it seems like critics aren't really giving this album the time of day. Every review so far is so surface level, and it's like they've barely engaged with the record beyond the singles. Every review just talks about DLMOTDF and Motivation like we've never heard them before I suspect fan reception will be overwhelmingly positive though, so I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes more of a cult classic / fan favourite than critical success. Hopefully there will be some positive word-of-mouth buzz come Friday. Critics so far have had nothing really bad to say besides that the project is long, which I find a bit perplexing cus well duh... it's two albums. I feel like these publications just aren't giving enough attention to a project that really warrants a full engaged listen

Nope this was just a misunderstanding from the postcard clues. What we thought was Ruby was actually just After All, the song is scrapped

Definitely not as groundbreaking as On Wires or After All but it's cute. A good song but I wish it went a little more "out there" as it's a bit one-dimensional imo? Already expected I was always going to be in the minority who prefer Day over Night, but happy for those who wanted something more traditional

That said though, On Wires is extremely bombastic and euphoric. It's just a different kind of euphoria. We don't need boring copy paste synth pop for that

I hate to say it but like seriously... it's not 2015 anymore. We can expect more from pop music. On Wires and After All are two of her all time greatest if not the first and second best of her entire catalogue
