I'm about to split the whole here: some fans are trying very hard to change the reality that her material and career are far below what is expected from a singer like her. No, I'm dont want her to write 100% of the songs (Try is one of her best songs and she didn't touch a pen), but rather that she deliver actually GOOD QUALITY MATERIAL, which in general hasn't been happening since... 2015 with Just Like Fire? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Since 2017, she has been going through troubled moments that are ammunition for powerful music: the harassment from the media, the exposure of her children, the fact of going on tour and not having time for her family, she and her son almost dying from Covid, the fact of isolation itself, and the loss of the father. She had COUNTLESS artistic opportunities to express her feelings, but she was unable to do so. The fact that she sounds so much more mature FIFTEEN YEARS AGO than she does now is something that shocks me. Apart from the fact that she hasn't delivered something truly iconic since 2012. I don't want her to act like she's a crazy teenager, but the songs she's delivering are totally generic. I'm sorry, but let's be honest: any song on this latest album could be sung by a beginner artist. And there are still bad career decisions. Poor launch planning, lack of investment and market vision, recycling of several past tour ideas... Unfortunately it has become a pastiche of what it once was. But… I guess the important thing is how money she gets from the tour and that the fans need to accept (even knowing that she will not leave the North America/Canada/Europe/Oceania axis…)
