the motto is not the gp hit that you guys make it out to be. slap house is a straight people genre but not a popular genre. the song only peaked a few spots higher than mh&mh and now it won’t go any further even with increased radio play and playlist updates. it was always going to be a moderate dance hit. mytp is the perfect song to be a gp radio smash. it perfectly blends the 80s trend and the pop rock trend which radios go crazy over. it’s like a mix of blinding lights and good 4 u which were 2 of the biggest songs of 2021.

This song is getting incredible promo compared to everything she’s released in her career so far. No TTH but it’s fully impacting us pop radio and hot ac in its first week which means Atlantic intends for this to be a proper instant smash and not a other MH&MH OR K&Q where they wait months to see if people like it before deciding to promo or not.

I actually enjoy the snippet and I understand why Atlantic made this the lead since it follows several major trends in music right now but I can’t help but feel like this is a regression for her Seeing her find her own niche spot in the industry as a eurodance girl but then immediately leave that behind to make music in a genre where she just doesn’t fit only in hopes of boosting sales makes me have a lot less hope and respect for her as an artist.
