I love that Allison Iraheta sings backup for Kelly now. I remember when she was on Idol, she said many times she was a huge KC fan. Also, just casually wailed that "unkind" note and still not impressed with herself. We stan a perfectionist! Can't wait to see this tomorrow!!!!

I think whatever convo(s) she’s had with Stevie Nicks did what needed to be done.

I don’t think any of her songs have ever showcased her voice in the way that “mine” does. and that bridge. the belts on “me” are also exquisite. i don’t care if these don’t hit because she’s going to deliver raw emotion like she did with some core songs on My December, which is still my favorite record of hers.

I think they haven't updated the main one yet because the WCCA pic still comes up when you search her name. The new one shows up as the artist profile photo for the m/m playlist or if you play one of the m/m clips on a large screen, it shows up as the background image.

I'm purely speculating here but I think a double punch of ballads is actually a smart route to kick off the era. That way, they can hype the "divorce album," which is the main marketing plug for the album, for a couple of months and release RH as a single right before the album drops. She can wrap up TKCS, perform RH on the Voice, do her regular promo circuit (even though I hope we get deeper interviews this cycle), and plug the residency. Also, I think it'd be cool for her to do a Songs & Stories episode for the album to close out the TKCS season.

i'm still stuck on the idea that mine and me might be the same song from different perspectives. that would actually be really cool.

thank you!!! this is helpful. also, re: artwork. I really hope they do some "rad" album art for this record. nothing will ever do what My December's art did but one can hope. I truly detest the typography and color choices for the residency art. also also, I have a feeling chemistry titles are all about to be lowercase? seems to be the pop girl trend now.
