  1. The way I've been streaming NFR NONSTOP the past week. Literally only that album nonstop for the first time in years. I must've known Jesus was coming back
  2. This made me so excited. There's quite literally nothing I respect more than a star willing to throw everything away in the pursuit of their artistic impulse. Whether the album stands as one of my favourites or not, this will undoubtedly further cement her as one of the greatest to do it. it reminds me of ultraviolence. After the backlash to BTD, Lana could've done so many things, but to double down on her artistic vision in such a brash way is what I think cemented her legacy.
  3. How do you think this album will be received? I'm very excited, I love the direction she's going, but it feels like fans and critics alike are going to let this album fall by the wayside
  4. I actually crafted a whole music video for it in my head that is essentially just a shot for shot recreate of the city of stars scene where they dance through the sky lmao
  5. Wow this song is perfect. We're so back
  6. She definitely is. She has the keen awareness of popular culture that made Gaga one of the most exciting forces in music for the first five years of her career.
  7. I think this album concept is one of the most genius things she's ever done. It can be viewed as an almost blatant commentary that speaks to the fact that in the modern gig economy, pop stardom doesn't exist as one medium of expression. To be world dominating, you need your foot to be dipped into the worlds of fashion, film, television, social media, etc. You need to be everywhere, all the time. Even the idea of Rock Music, a song that says she's doing something that she really isn't…it sounds like a guitar lead version of what she's always made…is so so smart. The song is great, it sparked the conversation she wanted, people are talking about this era in a way that's different than they were with Brat. She is one of the most exciting forces we have working right now, it's not even a competition at this point.
  8. I was also thinking in regards to Wuthering Heights
  9. Realistically what do we think Charli's Grammy noms are gonna look like next year?
  10. It's been my favourite podcast since it first debuted 5 year ago. I agree with Louie on almost everything he says, and even when I strongly disagree, he's so succinct that I love hearing his perspective. It was like a podcast tailor made for my exact perspective on popular music.
  11. I'm so upset I can't see this show live. Lux has quickly risen to my top 3 all time albums, Rosalia has become a top 3 all time artist for me. The show is truly breathtaking (from what I've seen of it), and the reviews from publications and fans have blown me away.
  12. 1. Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti 2. Reliquia 3. Magnolias 4. Divinize 5. Berghain 6. Sexo, Violencia y Llantas 7. La Rumba Del Pedron 8. La Yugular 9. La Perla 10. Sauvignon Blanc 11. Dios Es Un Stalker 12. Mundo Nuevo 13. Porcelana 14. Memoria 15. De Madruga

My journey with Rosalía started in the summer of 2019. Im from Canada, so she wasn't breaking through in a mainstream way the way she was across Europe and Latin America. I love to watch Grammy prediction videos, and this one channel was predicting her constantly for a Best New Artist nomination at the 2020 ceremony. I looked her up, and saw that EMQ had an 8.8 from pitchfork, and raves from just about everyone else, so I gave it a listen and wow… When Motomami came out I was hooked forever. I don't speak Spanish, but I don't need to understand the lyrics to appreciate an artist who crafts at that level. I'm a Beyoncé stan first and foremost, and she gets me excited the way Bey does whenever either one of them make any moves. I know it just came out, but Lux is making a play for my all time favourite album…
  14. Realistically how many Grammy nominations do we think she's gonna get next year?
  15. What do we think it'll be? https://variety.com/2025/music/album-reviews/rosalia-lux-album-review-1236570121/
