I really want other artists to add their catalogue for digital sale, but it will take YEARS. It's a shame many don't take advantage of this. thank you again for helping me with the formula!

not a whole excel sheet omg, tbh i would do it too if i could, it's so interesting to look at numbers and seeing how much every artist has sold. Coldplay has some huge sales, one of the biggest I've seen so far. Chinese sales will remain a mystery i fear, until some account will expose the formula, we will never know where they got those million sales from

nn calculating all these singles must've been so hard. and 407M is so massive. they sold A LOT. did you also include chinese sales?

Oh i didn't know that chartmasters only counts from post 2021. Though not every artist puts their songs/albums for digital sales (less than 5% maybe). The twitter accounts probably add digital+streaming for the chinese sales. So if there are no digital sales (for most of the cases), then it's probably only streaming, which I don't know where they get the numbers from. These chinese numbers are also quite massive (1M-6M), so it's super weird how they calculate them.

I know ChartMasters made a change last year with chinese sales in their formula: but when i try to do this formula, it's doesn't really match with the sales from the twitter banners above. Music videos in QQ music have pretty low views, for example coldplay's SJLT has 20.5M views. Lady Gaga's Poker Face has 10M views, but in the banner it has almost 4M sales .. So yeah those chinese sales are pretty weird, these twitter accounts should be a bit more transparent with their calculating ..

yeah i know they are quite inflated but i'm kinda interested in the sales of some not so popular songs, so that's why i want to know how they got the numbers. but the chinese sales is what confuses me the most, cause where are those numbers from? I know there's QQ music, but the streams for music videos there are low, so do they multiply the number or something? and is there a way to know spotify/youtube streams from each country?

i've seen some picutres on twitter of these singels/albums worldwide sales, is there a way to calculate these numbers somehow?
