Why has everything become so boring with her lately ? No more music, no more looks, no more movies, no more interviews…I can't believe it's already been two years since the SB and Lift Me Up and there's still nothing (I'm not even holding onto The Smurfs because at this point, I'm not 100% sure she'll be heavily involved with the soundtrack)

Yep. Had the chance to attend last year and they don't **** around. I saw people that had invitations getting rejected because they didn't have a bow tie or just because they wore the wrong type of shoes. I got yelled at and confronted by security guards multiple times because i wasn't walking up the red carpet fast enough. A lot of the hostesses are really disrespectful too…you can't argue with them or discuss their instructions even if you're right cause if you do they'll call security and you'd get escorted out (and probably blacklisted) in a heart beat.

What worries me the most is not even R9 cause it will be released eventually…hopefully…maybe…one day…But it's R10 ! I can only imagine how many years it will take her to release another LP after R9 Now that I think about it, it's really crazy cause why would you wait (at least) 8 years to release a new album ?! You're not JT, you're not Adele, you don't write and/or compose most of your s*** and i'm sure she already has more than enough great material to release an excellent body of work so why torture us like that ???

Didn’t say they were close. I said that, out of the mpg, Ariana Grande is the closest (in terms of sound) and that is why i enjoy her music. It’s not just the fact that they both incorporate urban, r&b, dance or even reggae (Side To Side, bloodline…) elements in their music, it’s also the sultriness and the laid-back delivery + the constant carefree energy both in the themes and in the lyrics of their songs. Nobody is saying that Ariana Grande = Rihanna. But for me and that’s my opinion of course (just like you saying that Doja Cat is the closest which i strongly disagree with), she’s the one whose sound aligns the most with Rihanna’s, at least from my perspective.

That live with Melissa though Even though i still love her a lot. I don’t quite stan her like i used to…i mean what’s the point now ? No new music + no tour in 8 years and nothing to look forward to in the near futur…she barely interacts with her fans on social media, even fashion-wise she doesn’t serve like she used to…i think i’m just very frustrated at this point. Man if someone would’ve told me in 2016 that there would still be no new album in sight after 8 years i wouldn’t’ve believed them but here we are

Listened to it this morning and was legit cryin (i was also thinking about some deep stuff though so it didn’t help…) in the train. It’s not particularly ground breaking but it’s good and her voice is incredible ( it got deep deep !) Fun fact: in a french news channel they talked about the song and aired a snippet but it wasn’t Lift Me Up…it was Answer…and one of the journalists was like « the sound reminds me of 2010/11 Rihanna »…

I’m happy with that…as long as she releases the album around the SB and just doesn’t disappear again, leaving us with only new panties to look forward to

I don’t know but she needs to put KIB in there to repay us for that Grammy fiasco (she admitted she pulled out not because she was sick but because she was « scared »)
