Honestly regarding that situation, I think that was a Brandon **** up. He clearly was trying to leverage Normani's goodwill and relationships to benefit anitta as well, hence her also being added as well. That man ****** up a lot of things if we're being honest, becaus why was she in rehearsals so much? it's clear negotiations were happening and they fell through. the fan demand, plus the dropout helped her get that spot.

All the other shows you mentioned I agree, however her going on the breakfast club with ill equipped "hosts" who never do any research and constantly try to bait guests for sound bites is the reason I don't want her anywhere near that platform. It could actually do more harm than good. Would love for her to cater to her r&b and Black audience more but she needs a different platform. I get what you're saying but honestly Apple Music does more for R&B and Hiphop than spotify. Also the magazines and fashion events actually do work well with her target demo tbh. She also did the Essence Festival back in 2018/2019, it's just that her issue is she had no product to promote until a month ago. What they are doing is currently leveraging the relationships she already has while trying to build new ones, hence the sadly canceled BET Awards performance. Trust and believe she wants to be in those spaces too but she isn't gonna be doing herself any favors by trying to cater to an audience like TSR and TBC when that audience always has something negative to say about her.

While this album definitely isn't doing the numbers they would like, there are some positives. While 12K sales is kinda low, this is a pure digital album, not physical copies at all. It still garnered millions of streams and is on par with a lot of her R&B peers and this was done with a horrible rollout and lack of actual promo. I'm sure if the rollout was better and they actually invested the numbers would've been much better. I'm hoping that even if the label decides to stop pushing it, she continues to. Here's to hoping we actually get the music videos and some performances. Also would not be a bad idea for her to do her own performances and upload them herself. Also I hope the label is taking a look at all of positive reception the album has gotten since it's release. Lastly with Terrell debuting his new after show with her, I'm hoping she uses it to premiere her videos(or at least perform). Probably won't happen but we can hope.

Nice to see how much opinion on social media has shifted since Sunday. Like now I'm seeing nothing but positive comments about her and the song. There are still some negative nancys but for the most part, they have been drowned out.

If the album is coming in June… i honestly expect at least to see her doing something at least once a week leading up to it. Whether it's a performance, a video, more interviews etc…. Like girl it's crunch time

Well one thing to note is Brandy and Monica were well mostly R&B, they may bot have been as visible to you because they weren’t full pop but again in the 2000s they were still going Platinum and had successful albums. I mean Monica literally became the first artist to top the R&B/HipHop Chart, in the 90s, 2000s, and 10s, Brandy released 2 critically acclaimed albums that received certifications and have been noted to have changed the landscape of R&B… Again, I think it might be a different audience thing, but they all transitioned though they had some struggles but so did Xtina tbh. Only difference is she had a better machine behind her but she stumbled a couples times herself

I’d leave Brandy, Monica and Aaliyah out of this one seeing as, Aaliyah is the reason labels started investing in teens again. Britney’s camp literally followed Brandy’s formula x10 in terms of image as well as debut, and all three also achieved multi platinum success as adults with albums and singles as well as critical acclaim. And to top it iff in order for Britney to get that darker/edgier sound she wanted, she literally went to the producers those three had been using…

They are a brand new girl group with one song and no promo at all. This is not underwhelming it’s actually pretty good all things considered. The exposure for them is great tbh.

I’ve sortof thought this as well. With a new single coming in May, I wouldnt be surprised if the MV sorta teased or lead into the new single.
