I just love how each album is a complete reflection of where she is in life at the time. Even in PxP & MOL where she didn't actually write a lot. But this album in particular really captures her life (and her vocal state)now. And the lyrics she’s written….ppl should be reminded how good of a songwriter she has been

Honestly should've been a 80/100. Not much direct criticism in the article. They pointed out some flaws in MOL but gave it a 70/100 as well.

I am really starting to think there‘s a curse for winning Pop Album twice. It's a wonder those big albums like Reputation, THU, Lover, folklore/evermore, positions, 30 all failed to win. But Midnights is really coming in strong this year.

Kelly isn't Adele or Kacey.Their divorce experiences and perspectives on relationships probably won’t be the same. The thing I love about Kelly is that when she says an album is “personal” it’s really her telling her story the way she wants to tell it. As much as I love Breakaway/My December/Stronger I NEVER expected chemistry to be a sequel to any of them. She is a constantly growing and evolving person so the landscape of her “personal record” would change. I guess we might ignore that sometimes. To me these aren’t “fillers” or “mediocre” songs, they’re equally good as her mega break-up songs because they all come from her heart, and I felt that. It’s just a simple matter of clicking with her way of telling story.

Wow Is this the first time her album gets this much hate even before its release? lol. Honestly I am really excited for this album, when she announced this divorce album and it was gonna be different from MD I was so worried we were getting a miserable sob-fest. But she’s got this sassy/mature/emotional vibe going on. And all these songs really highlight her vocal. Anyway I am ready to enjoy the album and so far all the pre-tracks have been enjoyable.

Oh god she hasn't cranked up her pop-rock energy this hard for so long on her own stuff. I AM LOVING THIS ONE. Can already picture this song with a killer music video. The intro reminds me of Kill Bill the movie somehow.

The Japanese Edition of Thankful with Natural Woman as the bonus track just showed up in my region’s Apple Music. Has it always been around for everyone or are they just releasing it now?

I love the beat to it. Really bouncy and fun for a live performance. Songwise I really love the pre-chorus. And the banjo surly is interesting. The hook fell a little flat tho.

These recent releases of unreleased vault tracks from fellow pop stars (Taylor, Lana etc.)have been really well received. Would be nice to see Kelly do the same someday..not for any chart success but just some gift for the fans. She has so many unreleased gems that got left behind omfg.
