  1. Did Billboard change the formula to make 'Bad Guy' go #1?
  2. 'Boyfriend' went #1 on Rolling Stone's TOP 100 Songs Chart. https://www.rollingstone.com/charts/songs/ So, it went #1.
  3. They made their music available for download and streaming. They are releasing their new album at the end of the month, the first since 2006, and they must have realized 2019's music business is completely different from the one they were familiar with.
  4. Imagine a compilation of the biggest hits from the last few months like NOW! Individual track sales and streams are counted towards artist albums. Compilations chart tracks only physical or digital purchases of the whole compilation. Beyonce's compilation should have charted on the regular albums chart.
  5. Because the Compilations chart in the UK was largely created for compilations such as NOW!. It makes sense not to count individual track sales and streaming for those compilations.
  6. Despacito was way more global than OTR. Despacito was EVERYWHERE. Truly viral song. I don't think OTR even hit TOP 50 on the weekly radio chart in my country.
  7. All songs are included. Ed hasn't released that many singles, but many of his album tracks got enough sales and streams to earn a certification.
  8. I like having radio charts to see what's getting played on the radio, but I don't want radio to be a component of the singles chart.
  9. A singles chart without radio? Rolling Stone charts are instantly better than the Billboard charts. Obviously the Rolling Stone charts are still in the Beta stage, but they already look great.
  10. Isn't Apple shutting down iTunes at the end of this month?
  11. I think Take That will chart on the albums chart, it's some sort of a Greatest Hits release.
  12. Probably because Eminem has a recently released album out that he and his label would prefer the GP to buy and stream.
  13. Beyoncé was much better.
  14. Good numbers for a terrible album. I don't care how many units she moves in the first week or month and I also don't care for Metacritic scores. I trust my own ears that say this is Ariana's worst album to date. Also, GP's vertict will be clear 2 years and more from now, when we track the album's monthly Spotify streams. I doubt it's going to be up there with 'My Everything' and 'Dangerous Woman'. Longevity is the name of the game.
  15. Little Mix's singles are at 9,600,000 certified units right now.
  16. Ahhh, my childhood faves. I'm happy to see this album did well in Germany.
  17. It was re-released with new songs this year.
  18. Yeah, they need to remove radio from their formulas.
  19. But there is room for two other Chainsmokers songs on the playlist ...
