Here's the prompts I used for each song, both on Udio and Suno: I think it helps to not only add genres, but moods/vibes you want as well. If you're using Udio, you can put an artist tag in when generating a song. Behind the scenes it converts that artist tag into general genre tags, but if there's an artist that has a specific ~vibe~ you're going for, that could also potentially help. For Suno, I recommend not using the generate instrumental button, but instead "writing" custom lyrics but only having the structure tags. When making the instrumentals in Suno, my lyrics looked basically like this: If you have a specific instrument you want in your song, you can try adding it as a tag. Alternatively, some instrument solos can be tagged on Udio (at least, maybe Suno can do it too) by adding an additional tag, such as [guitar solo], [saxophone solo], etc. in the lyrics section (while leaving the actual lyrics blank ofc) If this didn't quite give you what you were looking for, or if I ended up bringing up even more questions, you can go ahead and ask something else!

We're not judging your lyrics based on if we think your lyrics could be sung along to the instrumental. We really just want it to serve as inspiration somehow. You could have a highly orchestral song and have lyrics with metaphors about being a performer on a stage or a song with tropical vibes and have lots of summery imagery. Hell, if you wanted you could have it juxtapose like a super upbeat sounding song with lyrics that are sad if you take a closer look. Ultimately, what you write will always be what we focus on, with or without an instrumental.

Round 4 💿 Results Hey hitmakers, it's the host with the shorter name here! What we weren't short on were great entries for each of the judge's challenges this week: 4 for Fire Breath, 3 for Cyberpunk, and 2 for Erotica -- It's finally time for the results for the forth round! I'm going to order this a bit differently this week. We're doing Fire Breath, then Erotica, and last (not least!) Cyberpunk! (Aurora worked hard on these banners so I'm going to use them, okay?!) As someone who has done this myself...it's discouraged. We can't really dock you if we can't prove you pre-wrote it, and as long as it is your words, then you're free to submit it. It just ends up feeling a bit disappointing to see someone admit it as a judge I suppose

Hey, Hitmakers! It's me, the other host! It's time for the second results show of Golden Hit: Season 6! There's not going to be any changes in style from how they were presented in Round 1, and everything said back then rings true now. Let's not delay and get to the exciting part! Results for Round 2's Reason for the Season challenge are in, and the scores are even higher this time. Well done to all of our contestants! With an average score over 8 this time, still with no score below a 6, surely you all have reason to celebrate this time. Our first batch of writers all scored within the 6-7 range. This generally means that we liked your songs, yet also saw some room for improvement: Our next batch of writers all scored within the 7-8 range. We really loved your songs, but had a few notes: So that has our Top 6 for the Reason for the Season challenge with a score of 8+. An impressive round to be sure! ...and there you have it, the results for Round 2, featuring off-brand colors because if I was told the hex values I can't remember them. Hopefully Aurora won't be too mad. Speaking of Aurora, they'll be working on the Top 3's Hit Tokens, which will hopefully be here before Round 3's conclusion. The deadline for the "Country Renaissance" challenge is in 2 days, so I hope y'all are giddy upping on your horses rassling up some real country classics for us!
