Final predictions (11/2): Morgan #1, Rosé & Bruno #8
I wonder if TOTC has early access to digital download numbers. 250 points is way higher than expected given the Spotify streaming is kinda low (only 1.7 mil on Day 2). I was expecting only 220 points (which was roughly what "Lies Lies Lies" got), which would be good enough for top 3 debut (slightly behind "Birds of a Feather"). Either TOTC is over-estimating the iTunes digital sales of "Love Somebody", or they actually have concrete data showing it sold a high amount on Day 1?

RIP Kworb.net, iTunes updates "gone for good"
Can kworb update his website so that it reports numbers like LivePopBars? I notice that website is still working. I know these numbers aren't perfect, but something is better than nothing at all! Hopefully kworb can update his software code and do something similar. :) 1 ▶ Tweet Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper Shallow 1.0000000000 2 ▶ Tweet Jonas Brothers Sucker 0.7979489684 3 ▶ Tweet Post Malone & Swae Lee Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) 0.6994261995 4 ▶ Tweet Post Malone Wow. 0.6371627396 5 ▶ Tweet Ava Max Sweet but Psycho 0.5923574655 6 ▶ Tweet Lauren Daigle You Say 0.5581736052 7 ▶ Tweet Iggy Azalea Sally Walker 0.5310706873 8 ▶ Tweet Ariana Grande 7 rings 0.5084849225 9 ▶ Tweet Sam Smith & Normani Dancing with a Stranger 0.4893175436 10 ▶ Tweet Halsey Without Me 0.4729581248

Taylor going dark RED despite the VMA effect already taking account. She's in trouble in terms of 2nd week sales. Despacito will get 17th week at #1 after Taylor has her 1-and-done week at #1 on Hot 100.

Luke Bryan tops US iTunes
Taylor's coming on Friday, so Luke moved up his release date to Wednesday. Smart. He's #1 on iTunes!

Liam back in the top 3 with STD!! Wild Thoughts is falling hard in sales. No chance for #1 on Hot 100 now that it's way behind Despacito in sales. Mariah is safe from Rihanna getting closer to her record.

Rumors flying that Taylor and Katy will perform together at VMAs. What if Taylor releases on Sunday instead of Friday? Despacito will get 17th week at #1.

The only Sam Hunt remix I heard was on AMP radio (WODS in Boston and WBMP in NYC). That remix is very popular, which is why these 2 heavily rhythmic-leaning stations are playing the song in high rotation (~70 spins). But the remix seems to be exclusive to "CBS Radio" pop stations though. It's not available for iHeartMedia stations though. I wish this remix was available so that the 2 rival pop stations, Z100 (NYC) and Kiss 108 (Boston), could play Sam Hunt more. They play the original version, and thus only get light rotation (20 spins).

Luke Bryan - new music on 8/23. Possible 200k sales debut? Taylor Swift - new music on 8/25? Possible 500k sales debut? Big stars that can sell out football stadiums are coming next week. Or will Despacito really get 17th week at #1??

Pink is most popular with soccer moms, so it's no surprise it does best on HAC. For teen listeners, Pink is about as old as their mother, so I can see why it'd struggle on Pop.

Despacito is discounted.
Can you elaborate on the Chainsmokers and Ed Sheeran? What remixes??

Wild Thoughts is discounted!! But Despacito (original) is also discounted.

I love that King Liam follows kworb iTunes page and is a chart-obsessed fan like us. STD is so close at #2 now. Although Pink might get to #1 just as Liam is about to catch Despacito.

Bravo to KING of Country - Sam Hunt! He will have TV performance on CMA Fest on August 16th. Hopefully it's not too late to be #1 on iTunes. Seems like songs are getting close to dethroning Despacito, but still not quite. Maybe TV promo for Sam Hunt will finally get his some extra boost!

Billboard Charts (July 23-29, 2017)
From Billboard: The release of this week’s Billboard’s non-airplay charts, including Hot Country Songs and Top Country Albums, is delayed due to data issues. Because of this, the corresponding charts are not included in this edition of Billboard Country Update. Still, Hunt’s “Back Road” will rank at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs when the chart is finalized due to its large overall lead in chart points. Universal Music Group Nashville president Cindy Mabe says, “I don’t think breaking the record at the top of the Hot Country Songs chart was the goal” when Hunt released the song. “But as summer met Sam’s 15 in a 30 Tour, combined with the pent-up demand for new music, this record has become part of [the] culture and [a] sexy soundtrack for the summer. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg of what’s coming for Sam Hunt.” For now, “Back Road” — co-written by Hunt, Zach Crowell, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne — is a stand-alone single following Hunt’s debut full-length, 2014’s Montevallo, which has sold 1.3 million copies in the United States to date, according to Nielsen Music. “Back Road” likewise leads Country Streaming Songs (15.9 million U.S. streams, down 5 percent, in the week ending July 27) and Country Digital Song Sales (42,000 downloads sold, down 9 percent) for a 25th week each. On the latter list, “Back Road” ties “Cruise” for the most weeks at No. 1. On Country Airplay, “Back Road” ruled for three weeks beginning on the chart dated May 6; as a recurrent, it drew 34.1 million in country radio audience in the tracking week ending July 30.

Liam and Niall are SLAYING!!! Talent won. Looks like they're the 2 that are becoming popular with the general public! Very well deserving. Harry is a 1-week wonder with gigantic first week sales due to stan-base, but does not have the popularity with the general public to have longevity on the charts. It's inevitable that STD and SH will eventually outsell SOTT. Just a matter of weeks. Happy that slow-and-steady wins the race.

Billboard Charts (July 2-8, 2017)
I bet "Despacito" will have a 69 cents discount on its 16th and 17th week. Scooter Braun might try to schedule Bieber and Luis to make a Today Show performance and/or a VMA Awards performance to boost sales too. There are plenty of ways to get that elusive 17th week at #1. Even Taylor could not beat Despacito for #1 if Bieber's team decide that this record is important enough to break.

13. Liam Payne "Strip It Down" : Rising near top 10 with NO discount needed! If it got a 69 cent discount, Liam would be up there between Shawn and Niall.

Streaming Discussion | Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.
Why is Bruno Mars "That's What I Like" #5 on Billboard Streaming Chart? It's #22 on Spotify and #19 on Apple Music. How in the world did Billboard calculate that it's #5 on their Streaming chart this week? Is there some mis-calculation on Billboard chart for Streaming??
