Spoiler

album #03 - Halsey, hopeless fountain kingdom

Quote

"She doesn't look me in the eyes anymore too scared of what she'll see"
I wasn't a fan of good sis Halsey, but her music was quite good even on her debut. Her messy personality kinda ruined experience with it for me. This album was surprisingly great. She served bops, lyrics, hooks, even some kind of concept. I love the fact it's not a long album, since all tracks on it are good. And I need to say sis was great in making herself some kind of main pop girl, her looks and live performances along with success :clap3: I'm glad for her, and still hope she stops with her messiness in future. We'll love some upgrade.
some favorites: 100 Letters, Walls Could Talk, Strangers, Don't Play, Devil in Me

single #03 - Paloma Faith, Crybaby

Quote

"One day you'll look back and know it wasn't worth all the heartache"
Paloma got me shook this year. This song is a bop and a half :katie2: Tbh one of my favorite pop songs this year. I really LOVE some sad dance bops, last year that was a So Much it Hurts, this year it's Crybaby. It's lightly sunshine vibe along with deep lyrics' meaning and dark toned video works so good with each other. And album is amazing too. It's not making my year-end countdown since it was released after deadline, but I need to say she truly slayed me. Once again.

Spoiler

album #02 - Mary J. Blige, Strength of a Woman

Quote

"Truth can be the sweetest pain"
I've liked Mary experiments with dance sound in London Sessions, but let's be honest, r&b is her life and her profile. And this album is her best since, I think Growing Pains, maybe even The Breakthrough. Divorce made her r&b talent slays again :cm: Her lyrics, emotions and pain she shows in songs giving me chills. She truly shines this era. This album full of r&b bops, strong ballads and even some more poppish tracks. It's one of her best.
some favorites: Thick of It, Indesctructible, Telling the Truth, Strenght of a Woman, Love Yourself

single #04 - SZA, Drew Barrymore

Quote

"Do you really wanna love me down like you say you do?"
Another entry by SZA. And my favorite one by her. It didn't really catch my attention before Love Galore release, but ****, this song is EVERYTHING. It hits me with first second and give me chills during all lenght. Inspiration by 90s movies with Drew is such a great idea. And her cameo is kind of iconic already. It's my personal favorite this year, even tho it's #2 in countdown.

Spoiler

album #01 - SZA, CTRL

Quote

"Just give as much as you take, forgive as much as you hate or get the **** out"
This girl is truly a biggest discover for me this year. I don't really want to say much about it. It's a great experience. I love how honest she is, she's such a sweetheart with some great melodies and lyrics behind. I'm glad I found her and the fact she gets so many acclaim this year.
some favorites: Prom, The Weekend, Normal Girl, Garden, Broken Clocks

single #01 - Halsey, Now or Never

Quote

"Wishin' you were 'round with me, but you're in a different town than me"
I feel like I'll be dragged for this number one :skull: Welp, as I already say, sis snatched with some good music this year, but this song' win in countdown still kinda surprise for me.  Girl started this year with her upgraded cover of Needed Me by queen Rih, and I love it so ****ing much. This song bops! It stayed in my playlist almost entire year, and it's still sounds hot and fresh. And girl slayed with music vid too :clap3: It's kinda messy, but works! Modern Romeo and Juliet storyline was kinda good, too bad she stops it with Bad at Love :skull:
