Best song in the top ten is "1-800..." This would also be Khalid's first, I do believe.

"Young, Dumb, & Broke" is probably Top 40 now too, so it'll be interesting to see where he peaks with that one. "Location" only peaked at 16.

Her overall numbers were very good.  Her streams were phenomenal. Her sales were disappointing.

but I realize it is 2017 and the slightest negative comment on  a topic means you hate the person and putting them down.

in fact though, it is possible to make negative comments and still be Impressed, contrary to the current philosophy on the matter.

You can't realize it's 2017 then note phenomenal streams + "disappointing" sales. Well I guess you ~can but it's senseless.

Proud of Tay :clap3: And nice at Liam coming through in the end. Strip really has been a grower all Summer.

And Niall has 2 top 20 hits, so he's doing pretty well for himself too.

Rip Louis :skull:

I hate to beat a dead horse but I think adjusting sales to the sales of other climates is the best way to make comparisons. With that said, I think it severely overestimates things. I think in 2011, Hello would have opened with like 1.3 million instead of 1.1 and 25 would have still opened with just 3.4 million in 2002. None of this diamond in a week BS. :rip: I think Taylor would have done like 650k with Look in 2011 which is fantastic. But not 1 million. Obviously this is just my opinion. These adjustments just seem sketchy to me. I think Taylor and Adele are just anomalies and sell more consistent than others regardless of the climate they are selling in. Once again no really evidence to this (just like there is no real evidence to say that adjustments to different sales climates work) just my two cents.

Anyway, I'm not trying to downplay Taylor, she did fantastic! Its great to see artists who can still consistently put up great numbers.:clap3:

yeah...their sales are so high that I don't pay attention to these "what it would've looked like in..." posts when it comes to them

ppl were buying songs and albums across the board...they (mores Taylor) have shown their fans are dedicated and will support them no matter what

OT: Wow Taylor :jonny:

Those streams and sales. Unbelievable :jonny:

I don't need to tell the future for things that are obvious.

Girl I'm not wasting my time going through any threads lmao, I've been posting in the Taylor base since I joined ATRL and literally NO ONE expected her to outsell Adele, we weren't even fully confident she would go #1 with her lead until last week when LWYMMD was released and smashed.

Songs which at their peak had at least a 150% lead over the runner-up in digital sales:
Hello 385, Look What You Made Me Do 364, See You Again 220, We Are Never Ever 213, Hips Don’t Lie 175
What Do You Mean 167, Born this Way 164, I Don’t Wanna Live Forever 161, Drag Me Down 161, Closer 154, Blank Space 150

Adele 1, Wiz Khalifa 1, Charlie Puth 1, Shakira 1, Wyclef Jean 1, Justin Bieber 1, Lady Gaga 1, Zayn 1, One Direction except Zayn 1, Chainsmokers 1, Halsey 1
Taylor 4

So for example, 150 indicates that Blank Space had a 150% lead in sales over the runner-up, aka that it had 250% of the sales of the runner-up.

Yeah 353 removing pre orders so 424k in total which is still amazing.

ibceywwwvz8osqybuqm.gif

If this theory is correct she already sold 71k preorders on iTunes alone.
