Beyonce daily Spotify streams:

Cuff it - 180788

Break my soul - 85923rip

Texas - 293853

Single ladies (one of her most memorable hits apparently) - 203045clap3

What is the reason behind this? Shouldn't the biggest popstar on the planet be enough promotion for people to stream her songs? What can she do to improve this metric, and does she even need to at this point in her career?

  • Cause Jay-Z does not own it, so she can't commit fraud with this one like she did with Tidal. She is still heavily playlisted and payola-ed, but the GP just does not care about her anymore.

  • So they are not listening to singles but whole albums and the streams are still bad? That made no sense

  • i feel like the streaming numbers really are the real tellers when it comes to the "smoke and mirrors" narrative beyonce has had for a while.

The hive does not concern themselves with streamcount. The hive streams music because, like Beyonce once said, "people don't listen to the whole body of work anymore". So that's what they're doing.

The audience want bops from her and nothing else, hence why Cuff It became a hit while her feaux-intellectual, food for thought, supposedly awe-inspiring turds keep getting declined for almost a decade now.

The audience has left the room, it seems.

Cuff it now makes less than 200k daily streams. Texas less than 300k and break my soul less than 100k.

Because Apple Music.

I honeslty think is because she isolated herself in a way that makes younger people not connect with her

She barely appears dont make music videos anymore, doesnt do interviews, doesnt interact with the fans on the internet, that honestly makrs her very boring for a young person

Her hits haven't aged as well as her peers and she's not as global as her peers. Both of which are completely fine. She's still a great performer who will always have packed shows and her recent albums aren't exactly commercial either. She's paving her own lane and I do appreciate her dedication to always do something different and create a body of work.

they won't pay the Spotify robots

We all saw the Apple Music top 500 list. Bey was flopping there too santa

Has been throwback

She's the new Madonna. She's above the charts. clap3

She's from an older generation and had a harder time adapting to the new streaming climate of today's market.

Still, it's worth noting she has much better #'s than many of her peers.

and the irony is wild. this is coming from the same artist who once said artists dont release albums anymore, they just drop quick little singles and burn out. meanwhile, that same artist entire album is getting outstreamed by a bunch of those quick little singles.

Idk maybe she's not fabulous enough for a throwback. idk

don't @ me. njftgngjdskjgfdsnj

I mean….this is kinda true sorry

She's almost 30 years into her career and still out streaming a lot of "newer" artists. She's doing more than fine.

No one has given a valid explanation yet...

Beyonce is #11 on the highest-streamed female artists of all-time, and Lady Gaga just passed her this year to get to #10. If that isn't an indication of how impressive her streams have been without lifting a finger, I don't know what is. She is also one of maybe 6 female acts that have streams so well distributed during album release week that she can debut entire albums on charts.

While Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande are other big names with consistent charting of entire albums, this is something Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, nor Rihanna has ever been able to do. Beyonce has now done it THREE times. An act who charted for the first time in 1997. That's crazy to me.

Edit: To answer your question... she doesn't care about Spotify. It doesn't pay out to artists, the superfans who use it most frequently are almost never able to afford the full album or concert tickets, and no artist who fought so hard to own their work would waste money to give to Spotify unless their label already has favorable deals in place.
