Starkboy Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I feel like she had a good concept and wasted it on a boring jazz covers albums. that being said, Happy Mistake is a beautiful song. 1 1
Azealia Banks Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Oh shut up … the concept is tied to the movie which is a musical (and they sing almost the same songs) 24 minutes ago, Starkboy said: I feel like she had a good concept and wasted it on a boring jazz covers albums. that being said, Happy Mistake is a beautiful song. 1 2

Virgos Groove Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I'm kinda digging this. It's not something that would enter my daily rotation, but there is something to it. Very theatre kid. 4 2

ImpressMeMuch Posted September 28 Posted September 28 This is such a good Saturday morning album Jesus I wanted more songs like joker on first listen, reminded me of John Wayne but I've been won over with most of these, her vocals are unreal 2
Burn Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Is the tracklist for the OST not known yet? Can't find it anywhere. Odd as it's only released next Friday.
Jai Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I dont mind Gaga, but this one just isn't for me. I really dont gravitate to her Jazz stuff. Still seated for LG7 though! Especially if it leans more BTW sound wise. 1
Bad_vocal_technique Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Jazz is not boring; however, Gaga's voice sounds like any other vintage jazz singer emulator, verging on the divorced, 50-year-old music teacher category. She needs different instrumentation for her music to be interesting to me. The rock tracks are nice though. 2

A whole bunch of Katycats trying to get Gaga on the other thread, but the biggest lashing and the shadiest shade were found HERE. 1

Exactly, I don't get why she won't get weirder and experiment with it, mix some rock or progressive jazz or anything other than the ******* show tunes, there's so many interesting ways she could go about it if she wasn't so hellbent on serving sterile vintage jazz emulator. 1 1
ThatGUY Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Wasnt a fan of c2c/lfs or Joanne so i didn't have high hopes, safe to say its not for me. It still got a stream at least out of loyalty. I'm just not keen on the theatrical/jazz vocals.
iconoclasm Posted September 28 Posted September 28 gave it a listen because I want to support my queen but yeah, like others have said, this isn't really something I would willingly play still, love that she went ahead and released this
SpaceOddity Posted September 28 Posted September 28 The Joker is the best thing this era produced, it's legit good. Folie and That's Entertainment are also nice. 3
Snakeskinbr Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I low-key wished they had pushed the joker instead of HM 3
gagalips Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Daily reminder that The Joker is the best song on the project 4
sad girl Posted September 28 Posted September 28 not listened. what's the most pop friendly track for a first listen?!
