Digitalism Posted May 3 Posted May 3 This truly is her solar power It just feels uneventfull with no standouts Houdini is one of the best tracks of her career and she didn't even do proper promo. Her dad needs to stay away from her. 2

Electrasour Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Just got my CD and most of the songs sound even better now than they did last night End of an Era the SERVE that you are

_Fey Posted May 3 Posted May 3 End of an Era needs to be on White Lotus S3. These Walls needs to be on some melodramatic Netflix drama. Whatcha Doing needs an Ariana feature. Happy For You needs to be spammed on tiktok over footage of Louis and Harry or whoever girls ship these days. 1
Relampago. Posted May 3 Posted May 3 On the bright side, there's no way to defend or spin the mega bombing and panning, so I can just live in my delusional world of being one of the few people who actually likes the album while cackling at the lashings we're getting 5

Lovett Posted May 3 Posted May 3 This is such a solid album. I really like it. "Maria" and "End of an Era" are my faves of the album tracks.

BlackoutZone Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Quote Dua Lipa's "Radical Optimism" has a hilarious album cover, two songs about illusionists and what may end up the year's most succulent bass playing. What it doesn't have is the kind of detailed celebrity meta-narrative that's come to define — and to propel — the superstar pop LP in music's parasocial age. She should have debuted in 2008 I guess. Can this parasocial era end already 2
TaylorNation Posted May 3 Posted May 3 I don't see enough stanning for Happy For You!! such a gorgeous track and closer but yeah overall i'm a little bit disappointed. I mean it's a good pop album but I was expecting more in any case, given the status Dua reached because of Future Nostalgia I feel like the think pieces will not stop, and people will judge the album with that whole baggage instead of on its own (like with Taylor somewhat)
Virgos Groove Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Delusion time! Illusion and TS have "- Extended" on their title, but Houdini has "- Extended Edit" Could there be a 10-minute version in the vault?
