Thanks for the info, though:) But still, I can see how they potentially used this filter to portray the feeling of being underwater

Of course she's a pop icon, but her music was very "niche" while Dua appeals to the gp. (I didn't like her until FN) What Dua did is amazing at this point, no other UK female artist other than Adele achieved this level of fame and success on WW. 1
Mickie Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Seriously, 6 months after Hoedini release it still sounds so fresh, especially the extended which SLAPS 10x harder than the original. The vocal arrangement and instrumental is I'm obsessed 4
Papi Juancho Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I just realized that she's following the route of Karol G's "Mañana Sera Bonito", including the drags for making "the same music", the people waiting for her "flop" and the change of hair color to red. Oh her TQG is coming after the album release

SayIt Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I wish she talked about each song of the songs more in interviews. Like how anything for love was discussed in the Zach Zang interview. It would be nice to know how they came about etc since we are a week from the release.

If it does, then she needs to be smarter about who she picks for her next album. I'm certain synth-funk will truly be dead by 2026 so Warner better make an analysis about what's going to be trendy by the time Dua starts writing the album I think in 2026 we'll see a full circle return to 2016 when hip-hop/dancehall really in power. Considering Potion and Demeanor mega flopped I would think she'd avoid that sound, but I can see her on a track like Needed Me or One Dance. She really should lean into a sexy era. She's gorgeous and her deep voice would be so good for sultry music. We already know she can do dancepop like no other, but I'd want to see her take on more urban-leaning mid tempos and dancehall-inspired music. 3

Saved her era after Provenza smashed? We could only wish for Radical Optimism to be anywhere near as big as Mañana Sera Bonito was.. she had the biggest debut on Spotify for a Latin female ever. We're just praying Dua can outdo FN numbers at this point. 1

If deep voice Dua ever makes a return to music No lie is that song and is holding its own on stream. I would like more of that 1

The debut is not my concern, it is the second day and thereafter, it seemed like the singles drop significantly.

Same, I really wish they would have just released the album closer to when Houdini was released. I think they could have went full promo mode and Houdini would have gotten a decent enough boost from that. Then once the album launches, they could see what song is sticking with people and promote that as a single. If none of them did, proceed with the plan to release TS after Houdini and go from there. I think it was a bit of a mistake to let Houdini hang out to dry for so long, but all we can do is move forward from here!

Dua could also make those numbers with 17 songs and adding DTN. both queens We need Warner to be aggressive this week and the week of the album release. 1

Yeah it's funny because the 2020s are literally a full on repeat of the 2010s so far: Early years: Electropop/EDM vs Nu-Disco Mid years: Shift to slower, more moodier synth-pop and synth-funk. First seeds of hip hop are already planted with Drake Later years: Hip hop takeover So I agree 1
