Musicmajor Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) I listened to it in the gym this morning and it was a RIDE. I was scared it was going to go too much in the direction of how I'm feeling now of self-titled, as I'm not a super fan of the intense pc sound. I would put this somewhere in the middle of her discography for me. I can tell it's going to grow on me, but my rankings are: 1. Rewind 2. Apple 3. 365 4. Talk talk 5. Sympathy is a knife Charli never disappoints and I cannot WAIT to hear this live on tour later this year. Edited June 7 by Musicmajor 2
Club classic Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Talk talk is such a sweet, summery song, it's so instant I hope it gets a video, although I'm still mad we didn't get one for Club classics and B2B 1

Shes lost her edge I fear. I wish her an ounce of luck with the streaming numbers. I honestly agree. As someone who's seen her in concert multiple times, and appreciated all of her previous albums, this one didn't do much for me. As for streaming, she doesn't normally do huge numbers anyways. Petra von Kant Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Charli having prod creds on Sympathy and Apple is such a nice surprise prod on both tracks is amazing and knowing Charli she wouldnt credit herself if she hadnt actually been involved in the production process she may have a hidden talent I'd love her to entirely self-produce a record at some point 1
Petra von Kant Posted June 7 Posted June 7 also Gesa prod on imsss is so unexpected but great it sounds nothing like his usual stuff but that piano is haunting
ZacXCX Posted June 7 Posted June 7 This is definitely joining the trifecta of Charlotte's best albums with Pop 2 and HIFN. Even the songs I wasn't certain about in the first minute or so (I Think About It, Apple don't kill me please) really picked up in the second half. The outros in general are really serving on this one, which is quite specific lmao. Sympathy, Everything Is Romantic, Rewind, Mean Girls and 365 all end in a very cool way. My top 3 out of the new tracks would probably be... Sympathy Is a God Everything Is a Serve 365 I love how it's super personal (even if that sounds cheesy) and honest without compromising how interesting it sounds. Thank you Charlene for another great piece of music. Very excited to go pick up my vinyl copy of it later today. 1
bluevelvetcrowbar Posted June 7 Posted June 7 This might sound weird, but the Mean Girls piano break reminds me of like math rock-esque anime openings like it was giving that one Tokyo Ghoul opening that everyone hated (but I stanned fjfjdjdmd)
Domination Posted June 7 Posted June 7 It's decent but I did think i'd like it more considering how obsessed I was with the singles. Charli >= Pop2 > True Romance > HIFN = Brat > N1A > Crash > Sucker
