What will happen after the invasion of Rafah?  Will Israel attack another region?

She just voted to send more money to Israel and cut funding to UNRWA. Her actions speak louder than her words.

There was all this deafening hype on Israel bombing the Iranian embassy in Syria and connections being made to the withdrawal wave that seems to have disappeared in less than 48 hours and now Netanyahu's going full-bore again with Rafah threats. What changed?

Biden got to take a PR win by taking heat off of Israel through getting them to open one border crossing to allow a piddly amount of trucks in. Then, Israel themselves have been getting a PR boost from the media for moving troops out of Gaza even though everyone knows they're just getting relocated so they won't be hit by friendly fire when Rafah gets razed by air strikes.

Not to mention, I think Ecuador invading the Mexican embassy in Quito has also distracted people from what little extent they cared about Gazans as well.

Ramadan is over and Eid is tomorrow and yet no ceasefire and the people in Gaza keep getting more miserable. Shame.

Elizabeth Warren is hoping the criticism of Israel will be noticed by progressive voters, while her vote to send more military aid to Israel will be noticed by AIPAC.

Turkey is an ally of Israel and the US in many areas, not just trade, but both support Azerbaijan against Armenia.

Also a reminder that this happens also in 48 territories. Like during the 2021 protests Israel arrested thousands of Palestinians with Israeli citizenships from their homes.

The number is only the occupied West Bank I think.

Sons and grandchildren of Hamas leader killed in Gaza airstrike

Absolute insanity. While enjoying a luxurious life in Qatar, the Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, is celebrating the death of his OWN sons and grandchildren who were left fighting and killed in Gaza. He thanked god for the honor and martyrdom of his progenies, and that they wouldn't change their stance. All the more this gives credence to the Golda Meir quote:

"When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons. Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.”

Not a Golda Meir quote now after justifying apartheid in another thread :rip: Few posts away from saying Palestinians should all be murdered.

Their desire to kill Palestinian children while absolving themselves of any guilt is insatiable.

I literally said it's insane that the Hamas leader is celebrating the death of his own children. No one here finds gratification in violence and mass murder other than these people.

It's impossible to take you seriously when you're quoting one of the most vile and racist figures in history.

It's not like the people you're defending are innocent either. If they could have it their way, they'd obliterate Israel without hesitation or restraint.

The media finally waking up

if anyone is in Miami and have a free time they should totally kill Netanyahu's son! He's part of the terrorist Likud party. You won't be held accountable as Israel made it clear that that's fair play, normal and allowed in this world.

If you kill his grandkids too, even better!

Good luck <3

I think the Golda Meir quote came in 1960s (I think?), back then the proportionality of deaths was more even on both sides (expect for militants). Even she, in 2024 might have refrained from saying that quote if she was still alive.
