Shelter Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 The Bin Laden letter to America has gone viral on TikTok. Has this been discussed yet? He talks about Israel and Palestine. The Guardian has today removed the article that was posted in 2002! Can you believe that. It’s a good read and anyone who hasn’t read it, should now. 1
CroNich Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) Dying not them printing out and laminating a few pieces of paper literally saying 'medical supplies' to get their propoganda shot of them 'helping' Even if those boxes were filled with medical supplies, that amount could help what? A few thousand people max. And that looks like enough baby food to feed a few thousand kids for one day. 23 minutes ago, Shelter said: The Bin Laden letter to America has gone viral on TikTok. It’s a good read and anyone who hasn’t read it, should now. Its so wild. You live your whole life being conditioned to believe that violent and radical Arabs are merely 'terrorists', and the western world is fighting the 'good fight' for democratic freedom or whatever, only to realise that America has been involving themselves in the Middle East and causing terror and destruction to the civilians of these countries for decades. Yet, its considered extremely offensive to even consider the fact that America and their allies might be 'terrorists' even though they have murdered a disproportionate amount more innocent civilians in the Middle East then in any terrorist attack on US Soil ever, and have been doing so well before 9/11. So why then is only one side labelled 'terrorists' and the other side labelled 'freedom fighters'? is it because people in the Middle East are Arab and America (and this case Israel) are largely considered white states? I would say so; which really makes you realise just how effective propaganda can be. And no I'm not saying Osama wasn't a terrorist and America is, but you simply can't label one side terrorists without labelling the other like the Western World would like you to. And looking at the history of events in the region, including the events summarised in the letter above, its easier to see how many would consider these radical Muslim groups as simply retaliating or getting revenge, which I do not condone by any means but its still a completely different and valid narrative to what we get brought up to believe. COVID-19 harmed Trump 20' election but for Biden this is something way more intense. Their chances of winning are slim. And their supporter the pro Zionist ones make it even worse. The guilt tripping "Trump will do even worse" have already pissed off a lot of people, the votes only matter to them when it fits their agenda. I have a lot of friends who plan to boycott or vote the 3rd option.

The irony being that America has worked so tirelessly post-9/11 to suppress the historical record of their support for the Mujahideen against Soviet influence in Afghanistan that now, for many in America, the only context they'd approach such a letter from is seeing someone who committed a mass atrocity against America speak at a time - for many now reading before their birth - on topics relevant to the current liberation of a people we know are objectively facing destruction. There's little space to reiterate the cruelty against other Arabs and Muslims that Osama bin Laden pursued of his own free will in the name of defeating a Pan-Arab Socialism, because the West has essentially done all it can to wipe out the mere mention of Arabic socialism from the Western information ecosystem. So now the neo-cons are on twitter like "THE KIDS ON TIKTOK ARE PRAISING BIN LADEN!! THEY'RE LITERALLY PRAISING BIN LADEN!!!!". I would love to ask the likes of those in the most respected national security think-tanks if Arab socialism doesn't seem so bad now. 1

Politicians really do be selling their souls for their careers. Its happening with our more progressive labor party in Australia since they were elected, they have basically proven to be the right-wing party lite. Its time for a revolution me thinks.

Because genocides should reduce the numbers of living civilians, yet the Gazan population tripled over the past 20 years. That’s isn’t a genocide if a population keeps growing. That isn’t a genocide if the population gets work permits to work in Israel. Yeah, @Ryan @Bloo I’m done with this. This is blatant denial of genocide, while posting IDF propaganda that gets debunked in the next post over and over. 4

I understand that discourse is important but this particular user has been posting straight up lies and fake propoganda on every single page, to the point where I'm sure they are on Israel's payroll or just deeply, deeply disturbed. Can we get something done about this please? 1 1

His letter gives the impression he was very much for the people. So much to unpack there.

Personally I don't take Blinken's statements against that as credible, due to the "no red lines" promise from Biden. When it happens, they'll fold and support it as they always do.

Omar getting booted from Foreign Affairs being featured in attack ads might be effective, especially since she barely survived her primary last time. That Parkland parent is going to be working to get Tlaib out, and Cori Bush has a guy dropping his Missouri Senate bid against Josh Hawley to unseat her, so the AIPAC/DMFI wing of the party is really working hardcore to get rid of the left and purge anti-genocidal dissent. 1

Maybe against AOC in 2026 depending on if they can successfully unseat the rest of The Squad in 2024 and AIPAC can go all in in her, but time will tell. She just doesn’t seem like a major priority for AIPAC to go after right now. Pocan though… might also be a likely target. 1
More Than A Melody Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 I really need to do a deep dive on the whole Arab socialism and Bin Laden thing @Communion mentioned. It's before I was born and I don't know that I've ever read anything about it. Any sources to recommend? Video, audio, and reading material are all okay. 1
