    They were one of the biggest bands ever in the 70s and their songs have been used in so many TV shows and movies over the last 50 years. I hear at least one of their songs anytime I go into a grocery store. Hotel California alone is legendary. 

     

    OT: Garth Brooks is a mystery to me because to this day I have never heard a song of his. Shania Twain’s certs as well shocked me for that same reason but I at least knew one or two of her songs before. Probably has to do with me not growing up with country.

    This makes sense, but their 38x platinum album doesn’t even have “Hotel California” on it, or “Best Of My Love” - two of their biggest hits ever. 
     

    It’s like Rihanna releasing a GH without “Umbrella” and “WFL” on it.

    they might not be fake, but they are heavily inflated by double counting, bundles, double-album certifications and unsold shipments.
