BYoncé Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 I feel like the only answers are Selena, Demi, maybe Halsey? But she at least had one massive WW hit for Without Me. Alessia Cara could be another example, she had Here and the Zedd collab but that was her peak and I don't think her followups have done numbers of ANY kind. Tinashe's one of my faves and her peak commercially was probably 2 On and didn't really last a long amount of time, but her artistic peak in her indie era hasn't shown the quality drop of Sel/Demi. I feel like they're probably some british popgirls/groups who only ever had a hit or minor noteriety in the US that would also count on this side of the pond.

Selegend Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) My fave Selena. her truly commercial peak worldwide didnt even have an album (2017-2018 droplets, smash hits and reached (#1 Monthly Listener — not only female — on Spotify). Revival was her peak in the USA. i agree it feels not as big as the others. An album in 2017 could’ve changed things, but it is what it is. So her. if Demi is a MPG, her too. LittleStarmen Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 The right answer is Paula Abdul. One year of fame Iggy Azelea Irene Cara (Flashdance)
