International meaning outside of America.

And that’s a few west European countries, right? Because BTW sold the same or outsold it in every other continent or country.

Selena or Demi.

It's just not worth mentioning her in a thread like this when artists like Selena, Dua, and P!nk exist

:ryan3:

I am stuck in 2016/17. I don't recall Selena being a MPG but I considered Miley MPG even when the majority of ATRL did not. Dua could be true but probably not P!NK, at least not globablly.

I only like Billie from the new girls and don't even know most of the rest.

Every Pink album has outsold Miley’s peak in pure sales sans her last two, and she has 4 that are much bigger and global in units. No comment on the other two.

it was 400k because of Amazon and that would impact the US not WW. Which Rihanna also did 2 years before that. And yeah we know UK, France,Switzerland and Germany are big markets. BTW outsold it everywhere else or the same (such as Oceania).

In the last 5 years alone, she's scored 10 top 3 singles (7 #1s), 3 #1 albums (having spent a total of 425 weeks charting on Billboard), over a dozen Grammy nominations (including 2 wins). She got a #1 hit with DFY (which spent 52 weeks charting) which she recorded in between takes on the Wicked set which is bigger than any Billie song since 'bad guy' 5 years ago.

Why are people saying Rihanna? She was really big—bigger than some of y'all faves. The real answer might be Demi and Selena Gomez, although I don't know if Demi is an MPG.

This is an interesting question.  Maybe Selena, Demi, or Lana.

They been here for over a decade are you ok?

Kesha probably she was on par of Taylor Swift I'm sure there's other that came and went within 1-3 years

Christina Aguilera, her peak was "beautiful" chart run.

Xtina's mainstream career was so small. Debut + Stripped in the USA. Stripped + Back To Basics outside the USA.

It's called longevity, OP was asking about peaks, and obviously Billie had the bigger peak in 2019-20

You guys don't know anything about sales at all? Just posting random and completely inaccurate names. It used to be different years ago.

Girl bye the Rude Boy-Loud era was her peak she was everywhere

Rude Boy came out in 2009 on Rated R. and that album was an underperformance and 2010 was the year Lady Gaga was the #1 artist in the world. During Loud it was Adele.

Rihanna is known for not having a huge peak like some of her peers but being very consistent nonetheless.

People saying Kesha & Meghan. Meghan literally had a hit single last year & had moderate success through out the years same with Kesha who had a hit single in 2017.

Many artists can’t replicate the same Success they had during their debut album. It’s totally unfair to expect them to be about to do that.

All of that was in the span of a decade & she’s had massive hits even past that as mainstream. So this is incorrect. Sorry :heart2:. Try again.

Not P!nk even being forgotten in this thread :rip:

She's the prime example of consistent success without ever really being a top 3 girl

I feel like 2001-2002 was definitely her moment. Britney was slowing down and transitioning to adulthood. Xtina was just about to release Stripped. The veteran pop girls like Mariah, Madonna, Janet and Whitney had hits but were clearly slowing down. Only Avril was the big new name.
