I don't recall Selena being a MPG but I considered Miley MPG even when the majority of ATRL did not. Dua could be true but probably not P!NK, at least not globablly. I only like Billie from the new girls and don't even know most of the rest.

No comment on the other two. 1

Which Rihanna also did 2 years before that. And yeah we know UK, France,Switzerland and Germany are big markets. BTW outsold it everywhere else or the same (such as Oceania). 3 2

réveuse Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) Why are people saying Rihanna? She was really big—bigger than some of y'all faves. The real answer might be Demi and Selena Gomez, although I don't know if Demi is an MPG. Edited November 16, 2023 by réveuse

Selenasworld Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Kesha probably she was on par of Taylor Swift I'm sure there's other that came and went within 1-3 years

lonnie Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Rihanna was moving tens of millions of records per year during her peak how on earth is that not big 5

During Loud it was Adele. Rihanna is known for not having a huge peak like some of her peers but being very consistent nonetheless. 1
Power love Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) People saying Kesha & Meghan. Meghan literally had a hit single last year & had moderate success through out the years same with Kesha who had a hit single in 2017. Many artists can’t replicate the same Success they had during their debut album. It’s totally unfair to expect them to be about to do that. Edited November 16, 2023 by Power love

Britney was slowing down and transitioning to adulthood. Xtina was just about to release Stripped. The veteran pop girls like Mariah, Madonna, Janet and Whitney had hits but were clearly slowing down. Only Avril was the big new name.
