Also, as someone else said, despite the long run FN had as an era, it has been over for a while and Dua has been surviving off of collabs and Barbie basically, so it actually feels like a new beginning whereas Dawn FM felt like a rushed expansion.

I agree, there will be 2 years between Dua new album and Dawn FM. Dawn FM was rushed, probably cause of the tour.

 

I don't think they predicted how successful "Dance The Night" will be, so because of that it might seems there was not enough "silence" between new eras, but I know, you know, we all that we need new album so bring it on girl lol

The snippets have been met with the utmost positivity - its quite clear that the ones complaining just cant stand that Dua might be succeeding again. Hence the goal to find something to dislike

it doesn't sound like FN, it sounds like a progression from FN. from this snippet its clearly different from DSN, Physical, etc but still in the same arena of retro-inspired pop which is what i think some are trying to say (just not articulating well) 

 

tbh i am a bit disappointed its not further of a change from FN, but at the same time all we've heard is a 20 second snippet from what will be a ~15 song album, so none of us really know what the song/ album will be like

It's a progression from FN for sure. Slight, but it's there. We'll see if the album explores deeper changes. The production is very Tame Impala though. And that bridge is whew
