So this is looking more like a 750k-800k debut. Idk what HDD was doing with that 1,5M prediction? :rip:

It had around +900k preorders.

Pre-orders don't mean much. They can be canceled anytime by the person before release week and it can't be tracked if it gets canceled.

As if 600k+ people canceled them, be serious :dies:

Well Billboard said it sold 550k units in 3 days. So that 900k pre-orders obviously seems inaccurate.

what is so hard for y'all to understand? BB has made NO mention of pre orders yet, they are tracking what she is selling during release week

And it's evident from all the figures we have so far that the 550k figure doesn't include any pre-orders because they haven't been reported to Luminate yet.

Did all the preorders get shipped back :suburban:

I like the monster debuts, but we saw how she always gets screwed with the number of weeks at the top compared to other albums that spend more weeks while having a fraction of her sales, especially with Midnights, only 5 weeks (and a sixth later) while selling 6M in a year in this climate is insane…

therefore I wouldn’t mind if her team learned their lesson and decided to split the preorders over several weeks to secure more weeks at #1.

What if the Gaylors' plan worked out?

My pre-order still says "Order Has Been Received" with no shipping yet on Amazon :suburban:

My guess is she will do around 1.7-1.9 million first week…. If she does more than 1.9 and she actually does surprise drop ts11 for Black Friday with deals with all the distribution stores…. Oh Jesus … the possibilities

Her webstore hasn't reported yet, this is why HDD are always wrong with her numbers.

honestly I don't blame them for thinking these dumb things, even her own fans are having annoying meltdowns AGAIN over this when it's obvious BB is just reporting what  she is selling during the week, they aren't talking about pre orders, they haven't made mention of pre orders but her fans are insisting they somehow vanished or they didn't ship them (even if there's NO evidence of that anywhere and it has NEVER HAPPENED)

The numbers by Billboard are basically only physical copies sold on Targets, Walmarts Ichoons and whatever other chains America has + streaming units up till now.

Maybe

They have a history of being very inaccurate in the first day prediction

Picture this: she surprise announces ts11 , a maximalist dance pop album with 17 tracks on Thursday, target gets its own edition with 4 bonus tracks, and all the other stores get their own edition with only 2 different bonus tracks… then at 3 am on Friday she releases the 3 am version with 6 other bonus tracks… mother

Exactly, but the weird thing is that they always get reported in the first couple of days…

Yeah, for the prediction being too low :rip:

In Taylor’s case, they have never overestimated on their first prediction, not even once. They have only underestimated her.

i am sure the shipped pre-orders are counted. Billboard mentioned before that they include the 'shipped' pre-orders in their up-to-date prediction they make during the same week.

Yes, more pre-orders could be shipped later and it would change the numbers drastically, but for now, those are the units shipped and they definitely include a part of the pre-orders.
