With some some more lessons and maybe staring in "lesser" roles like rom coms and horror movies, she could have built up her repertoire and gone the J. LO route. Spoiler She says she was glad she didn't get this role, although it would've been nice to reunite with Ryan. She didn't really enjoy the process after Crossroads, but she wishes she pushed herself a bit harder out of her comfort zone, because she was offered a role in Chicago and rejected it, and now she wishes she hadn't.
