Just because you don't fit in at a private boarding school or lived in a trailer park doesn't mean you grew up poor. She had family with means, and was middle class at least. She has a preoccupation with appearing humble, and its ridiculous. Her mentioning that her parents fought about money means nothing when rich people fight over it all the time. Okay and she's not trying to say she didn't grow up middle class, but in comparison to where she was living (for free) and the people she was around, everyone considered her to be dirt poor. She's not trying to pretend to be anything, it's her life and you're in here trying to discredit her first hand accounts of a life you have much less information about. The FACT is, she was not upper middle class and she was certainly NOT rich. That is her point. She's not asking for sympathy points, just trying to set the record straight so ignorant people stop fabricating elaborate lies about a life she didn't have. It's ridiculous that the same lies are still being spread 10+ years into her career and you're in here trying to discredit her. 2
vale9001 Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 We love very rich from wealthy families talented people finding success. The female Mozart confirmed

hétérosexuelle Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 (edited) Lana is hilarious like this is not a trending discourse nor a current topic of back & forth and nobody cares It’s like complaining about critics during a highly acclaimed album cycle with QFTC Edited October 19, 2023 by hétérosexuelle 2

Big Bad Wolf Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 (edited) We're tired. Write a book or do a docuseries already, Lana. There's still a lot more to learn about her, she's truly fascinating. But people aren't ready yet, nor do they even deserve it from her. Looking back it's clear there was a time she was estranged from her parents. Whether she grew up "rich" or not, money can't fix everything. For whatever reason, she doesn't resonate with that, and we have to respect it. I don't know what to believe atp nor do I really care, it changes nothing about her for me. But some of y'all running in here to talk about she's rich she went to university like ddd, so you think poor or lower income people don't go to college? I know people who's parents STRUGGLED so hard, but they worked and got their scholarships to some of the best universities in the world, and still owed thousands upon thousands of dollars. It means nothing. I do understand some points naysayers make.....but I won't fuel that, it's not relevant enough imo. Rubbing shoulders with Lindsay as a teen isn't much of a good example, as Lindsay's parents used her for financial gain. Edited October 19, 2023 by Big Bad Wolf 3

Maybe I don’t watch enough of her interviews or listen to her speaking voice in general but she sounded the same to me that she has sounded the past 10 years lol.
perfectillusion204 Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 I genuinely don’t keep up with Lana like I used to, but in general, why do people care how she grew up?? / why is this such a big deal all of a sudden? Let her do what she wants and keep making great music queen.
Bosque Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 Saying you were poor/lower class is such an upper middle class thing. Nobody who’s actually lower class would talk about it like this. Anyway it really doesn’t matter and idk why she seems so emotional about this 4
