Some swifties are DELULU if they think Taylor invented this concept (+ a generic font), lol. I blame TikTok.

If Taylor sues, Shakira should sue for Reputation Tour royalties.

I mean, the concept in itself is nothing new, but that execution is certainly very similar, both are basic designs and both could've been much much better.

Not people ignoring the facts.

A.) The merch wasn't designed nor directly approved by Shakira or Taylor most likely.

B.) The mech is ugly.

C.) This is a non-event not worth more than two pages let alone ten.

At the end of the day it is a copy but over some random ass merch that we know neither ladies had a hand in. Someone else designed and copied. Flop

This isn’t a “concept” - they’re literally just fashion drawings, drawn in the style of fashion drawings (elongated silhouettes, Barbie-like proportions etc). Same as Taylor’s - and Shakira’s. The only people disagreeing with that are the ones insisting they were invented by Tumblr or Etsy or something? :rip:

But do you honestly think it’s just a coincidence that Taylor has a hugely popular merch line with this distinct look, which is laid out in a particular way with a very particular font, that has exploded in popularity with the Eras Tour… and that Shakira’s team just happened to debut a near-identical line soon afterwards?

Do you not think it’s more likely that merch teams are always looking at what’s popular for other artists (like all designers are), and that in this case Shakira’s team got a little inspiration from what in this case is the most popular merch line of arguably the most popular artist in the world?

Like… it’s honestly not any more or less deep than that. This thread has been an absolute trip to read, thanks y’all :deadbanana2::dies:

That base was on Taylor's ass for years because she used drums in her performance :deadbanana2:

"SHAKIRA IS A STRANGER" - some ppl in here looking hella dumb when Taylor was literally the biggest Shakira stan tonight! :ahh:

Shakira should have been in jail years ago for tax fraud, kidnaping her children and not allowink their father to see them, now this...

Posted

yes the concept itself is not original but the designs are nearly identical :dies:

Who cares? They're both cute AF. We need a Madonna one just like these

Probably the same merch company that does Taylor's also does Shakira's

Give me a Britney one next :duca:

It's the typeface for me. You could honestly argue that celebrating your career's iconic looks is not a concept unique to Taylor (it's not) but it's the same overall aesthetic to a T. :deadbanana2: It's not even a good font...

But yeah, we been knew that merch companies like to recycle concepts and merch packs and the like. It's cheaper for production costs.
