There's a really simple solution to the jury vs televote debate and that is simply changing the weighting of the votes.

The juries are there for a reason, and they should remain part of the competition. But perhaps they have too much power right now.

I think it would be better if the jury had 30-40 % of the vote, and the televote to count for 60-70 %

I think ESC needs to go back to the pre-2016 voting system. We would have less polarising results if there was an ability for each vote to cancel the extremes of the jury/televote out

2012 will always be the perfect example of why the juries exist. Without it, Italy would have finished 17th, Quedate conmigo would've finished 18th and France would have done an Olly and gotten zero. France was still robbed even with the jury

But fundamentally, something has happened with the culture of the contest because it's been a while since the jury and televote agreed with each other

President of the canton of Bern said that the contest should stay out of Bern as it's "corrupt and antisemitic".

I thot they're known for their neutrality?

I wonder if RTTG's almost win encourages other countries to keep trying and sending Cha Cha Cha's and Rim Tim Tagi DIm's copies next year

Let's pray the hell not

And if they do, the jury already know what to do

We'd all fall asleep before the voting even started. I honestly am so glad the first year I got really into following Eurovision was 2016 (Jamallah her victory year). I can't imagine sitting though more than an hour of voting when the winner is obvious after the first 10 countries announce their votes :deadbanana4:

Isn't this the case for past two years though?

Several girls here told me Nemo would tank televote, so I definitely anticipated a Croatia win. Why we skipping 2016-2022?

The fact that Armenia scored more than Nemo in the semi is funny

I became obsessed with Armenia after seeing live performance.  I have Jako on repeat alongside Ozulna Apar

I really hope they don't open televote early again like they did this year, it makes it easier for mobilised voting like we saw this year.

Oh so now we switching when majority wanted it to open from the start of the show :deadbanana4:

I was desperately waiting for her take, she didn't disappoint :bibliahh:
