Reveal hidden contents @Zack @Gaia @Eternium sorry for the tag but I just want to hear your opinions on this For some reason SM acts as a whole have bad global streams, especially when compared to other Big 4 companies. SM has a very huge roster, but only aespa, RV and EXO have somewhat good streams, but SM keep shelving them. 1 hour ago, Adama said: Poor Chimin and Bot$ Stan . 3 big releases on his debut day Lana album+ It won't really be big issue for Jimin at all since the 3 acts have complete different demographies, unless there's a chance that Jimin will go #1 on BB200, then Jimin should be concerned Edited March 13, 2023 by Pluto2022

Reveal hidden contents @Zack @Gaia @Eternium sorry for the tag but I just want to hear your opinions on this I mean this looks like just daily data that you have pulled. The monthly and yearly data shows Red Velvet is consistently the best performing on Spotify in SM. But aespa is not doing badly, but they do have some work to do on Spotify, however I think the emphasis on this metric is arbitrary by other fanbases, because there's little other opportunity to criticize the group. aespa has proven they can sell albums and sell out arenas and other venues in multiple countries. They are also still sitting pretty with the biggest album sales and biggest overall Korean hit in the 4th gen. They've only just passed the 2 year anniversary so there's still much they are capable of achieving

Pluto6 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Btw, what's the difference between Hanteo and Circle? Cause SKZ have sold over 10M on Circle but 7M on Hanteo?

Also the last image kills me cause stan twitter was acting like aespa didn't even make the top 100 but they literally were at #11 just after Red Velvet

Circle = number of albums shipped based on stock demand (partly why major companies tend announce stock pre-orders these days) Hanteo = number of albums actually sold in stores (but it only tracks Hanteo affiliated stores, not all stores. So it's not the complete number, but accurate enough). There is always usually a gap between Hanteo and Circle. Companies have to report shipments to Circle, whereas Hanteo tracks independently. Sometimes Hanteo sales can be higher than Circle shipments in cases where the company has been slow to report shipments. A large gap between Circle and Hanteo tends to be a biT suspicious too.
sunmimi imfurst Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 The video is doing well on YouTube at least and Japan is using. I can see NMIXX getting a hit in Korea but I could also see them doing a bit of a straykids and having a strong international + JP fan base. From a big 3 + Being ragged on from debut + loosing a member, I think they will have a strong/fierce fan base

So we'll see. I think it would be a smart move to use the end of SMCU season 1 to bring in a refresh/evolution of their sound. That last image is interesting because Red Velvet is the only group in that top 10 without any U.S./global distributor/label. I hope the B-sides aespa performed on tour will make it to the album. I'm getting quite concerned about the title track though...doesn't seem like anything has been picked for certain yet

fauxtography Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 everything about NMIXX is a disaster, I don't see them ever keeping up with 4th gen in any capacity. But I guess if Teddy Bear can smash so can this hot crossed buns song or whatever

I mean they have JYP privilege so there's always a possibility they can get a hit, and they'll always have the backing and support of a big company. Their (somewhat freaky fishy) album sales are proof of that. But they've been given the worst possible start. I don't think I've seen a big 3 company have such a terrible 1st year as NMIXX

I don't think I've seen a big 3 company have such a terrible 1st year as NMIXX Yeah for sure - assuming JYP doesn't have a back up plan here they'll stay committed to NMIXX but really, their debut year has taken them nowhere and just confused everyone at what nmixx actually is. In an alternative universe JYP launched Kep1er who rise up via the TwicePrint and take the mantle. Kep1er is SO good, an act that unlike NMIXX deserves the exposure and success.
