That’s the opposite from me. I like TWICE’s recent music more than their old, but their old concepts were much more distinct and made everything more exciting and memorable

I’m starting to think you’re pressed about them  I mean most of the thread is, since only IVE and Le Sserafim have somehow comparable streaming numbers but yeah 

 

the gag is that some people in here posting NewJennies’ stats happen to be blinks too  I know that some users will try to use their achievements to try belittle BP’s career, but only deluded people can believe that they surpassed the Pinks in any way (but may in the future)

This is JYP’s problem in general. Imagine if SM’s vocal teachers and creative teams helped JYP and then JYP’s choreographers and video directors helped SM. The quality would be insane.

Twice keep releasing bops after bops we love to see.  I hope they will not switch their concept and music genre because every time a group does that people keep complaining

The docu clownery  There's that march 22nd thing so maybe they're onto something... the our youth mystery still isn't solved but I'm still rooting for that 4-part project rather than it being a tour

I don't agree with this up till last year tbh, Talk That Talk was really uninteresting outside of the outfits where they played with layers of lingerie, but this new opening trailer didn't even have that, you could place Itzy in there instead and I'd believe it's theirs 


But hopefully they can get back on track, if there's one thing they do well is bringing the era and creating the concept through their styling perfectly! And it always served Twice while keeping it different

Idk their outfits have harmony, but they’re not really “concepts”

Gee - Vibrant/Playful Rainbow Jeans

Genie - Navy/Marine 

Oh! - Cheerleader

Hoot - Retro

Mr. Mr - Masculine/Suits

Party - Beach/Pool

Lion Heart - 50s/Gatsby whatever the time period is

 

etc. 
 

TWICE (and BP for that matter) seem to just put on pretty outfits nowadays. It’s not really a concept in itself. Just nice styling. 
 

It’d have been great to have a goth concept with Cry for Me but it got no Mv

Yeah I’d rather take good music and bops instead of good “concepts” and limited music to fit that concept. Their cute era (2016-2018) is reflective of that. But even so, their current eras still have some binding concepts to tie everything together (Alcohol Free) but they could definitely do way more to flesh that out and make it more distinct. 
but all in all, this is kpop and there are plenty of groups that do their “concepts” leaving plenty to be desired. So until my girls Twice keep delivering bops and serving LOOKS, I’ll keep stanning

I'd say those I posted are concepts tbh, just not taken in a costume-like manner like those or twice's early ones 

I guess feel special could fall under the ''pretty outfits with harmony'' thing but I really can't think of other people putting them or similar outfits on without straight up thinking of that era

for talk that talk the y2k concept is there but it was basically just what was trendy (and still is) and they gave it that lingerie twist and had the charlie's angels-inspired sets to make it a bit different but I don't think it was enough to make it as interesting imo

Red Velvet is the best recent example of this. Not just in the outfits but also the MV imagery too.

 

So much so, that they could dream up a whole theme park about it

The ReVe Festival Day 1 album cover was giving creative genius. The way everything visible represents one of their comebacks
