aespa has Karina one of the best 4th gen main dancers, winter is decent while le sserafim has no outstanding dancers but yunjin and chaewon are around winter's level so aespa it is

Even besides the point you tried to make about Karina being leagues above Chaewon or Yunjin in dancing, it doesn’t really make sense to judge individual members capabilities in a group ranking. Lesserafim as a unit >>>> aespa.

she is tho the way many yall underestimate her just because most aespa choreo sucks doesn't sit right with me

Karina had many stages including the one with Kai where she just wasn't good in it.

that’s why I wrote most not all of them? of course there are exceptional dancers in some groups though most of the ggs have kinda samey routines

I would say something you would expect from kpop

I still can’t believe Itzy got such boring choreo lately, they were considered dancers of the 4th gen, but then still, they are very kpoppy, if you know what I mean

the emphasis on choreo in kpop is put on it being neat, sharp, super coordinated and that’s what separates it from from the real dance groups (in my opinion) - the individuality is gone and it gets kinda bland?

that’s why I can’t really understand LSFM hype, of course they are amazing and it’s obvious they worked hard to be on the level they are, but then they have that typical kpop feel plus Kazuha

but I guess it’s because their choreo is dynamic and incorporates nice member’s shine moments

lsf has no outstanding dancers but their choreo do a lot of works on them. yunjin and chaewon are the only one who are strong in dancing while the other 3 are decent. that's why it's kinda useless if you have strong dancers in the group but your choreo don't do them justice

Aespa stans should actually be happy about the HYBE acquisition.

With all of hybes gaming company connections the ae-avatars might finally get some new clothes that weren’t ripped off of blackpink

I haven’t even followed the whole conversation here but lemme just say this: the absolute JOY I get when I watch Lesserafim perform is still miles above any other 4th gen gg. They just have IT and every single member BRINGS it.
so I better not see any disrespect towards those girlies.

but having said that, not every group in kpop has to be super coordinated and sharp in their performances to be enjoyable, and NewJennies prove that.

that's the only time I see her actually have issues in dancing but it's been what 3 years? since that incident so I'm not sure why are you still bringing that up when Karina actually improved a lot since then

I originally did as dance line ranking meaning I'm judging only by their strongest dancers that's why it's their ranking :bird:

But then she is once again nowhere near the best of her generation maybe in the big 4 and even then she's not better than Ryujin & Yeji.

Especially when in her gen there are girls like Sangah, Juhyeon, chaein and the one girl from class:y who has no bones.

The issue with NJ is I see them having a very successful 3-4 years, but they don't have any substantial talent to really have longevity. The only members I see with potential solo careers are Danielle and Haerin. Haerin shines in a group, but I'm not sure she'd have much presence solo. Danielle seems like she has potential to be a star solo though. She has the confidence. There was some performance (maybe MAMA?) where Danielle had a lil solo dance break and she kinda gave Britney 2000 vibes

I don’t want any of them to ever go solo. they don’t need to just because all kpop groups have solos. their biggest strength is in how well they perform together. I still can’t pick a fave

Minji has THAT face and THAT smile. it’s so infectious and she’s so fun to watch

Hanni is the talent. there’s a reason why OMG is surpassing Ditto now, it’s her song and she owns it all the way through vocally and dancewise

Haerin is the quiet cat Taurus queen who shocks you with how dynamic she is on stage

Hyein was really the standout of the first era for me until the MHJ backlash clearly made them sideline her a bit. she’s the dark horse of the group

Danielle has the most varied singing talents and obvious global appeal. and yes she can DANCE dance too

Now if you want to talk about Vocals or Dancing... One of the weakest of this Gen is actually (G)I-DLE, and I say this as a fan of them. They just win because they put their whole personality into their singing and dancing. But they are generally not that strong.

Every EVERGLOW member can hold their own in dance, and they have no dance hole compared to Kep1er.

EVERGLOW are literally one of the best performers of 4th gen :skull:

HOW is EVERGLOW below everyone??????? :rip: Have you seen how hard their choreos are?? :rip:"First" literally had a whole boy group choreo and concept :deadbanana2:

The way everyone turned on IVE ever since Newjeans started smashing with Ditto :deadbanana2:Like IVE felt so untouchable just 6 months ago and if you said something about Wonyoung in here, you would've get dragged back then

kep1er also has no dance holes? sure bahiyyih and chaehyun are the weakest dancers but they are no Lia or jisoo.

also this is only about dancing not about stage presence, meaning technical dance skills.

just because it's a harder choreo doesn't mean that they are better overall. that only accounts with versatility

that's why I find majority of the users here very hypocritical since I know they will switch up once they saw there are newer groups to stan

So this is the aespa album people waited for !

The Pharita video... they really had ten Jennies and just gotta keep blurring the other three out now :deadbanana2: Hopefully they end up joining the Black Label GG since its clear they were training pretty close with Baemon up until recently

IVE was always a house of cards

the lack of talent is one thing

but it also feels like they had been sitting on and perfecting Eleven and LD for a while and that’s why they turned out so great

AL was a huge step down and these new songs are obvious filler. they could really make an impact if they put out a debut full album of all 10/10 songs like their first two singles, but that’s never gonna happen at Starshit

also what do we really know about WY at this point besides her “valley girl” persona? she’s “hardworking” according to some members here but I’ve never really seen the fruits of that work. It’s getting boring

They definitely are one of the weakest groups when it comes to dancing, but imo they are strong vocally. Miyeon is an amazing vocalist, Soyeon is great and Minnie is too when she's not doing bananis avocadis vocals and Yuqi's tone makes up for the lack of big range imo. Then there's Shuhua nn

And i also agree about your post on them way up. Its so easy to peep who on here is terrified on speaking their real thoughts when it comes to newjennies, like the extreme and honestly cringy bandwagoning starts getting grating, get off the ground bb and say ur real thoughts, their songs are bops but do you really stan enough to write these exaggerated essays. The twitter updates on their stats give obvious dopamine hits so they have to get high on it as fast as possible.

Not me though, im #real, yall stay safe out there.

It’s true the bandwagoning is a bit weird and pretentious especially when it gets to stuff like this. Like they did not exist 7 months ago for some of the ‘stans’ to be doing this much.

I remember some of their stans claiming that NJ started the y2k trend in Kpop. :gaycat6:
