Sorecer Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 We can all agree sm is lost in terms of music and how they are promoting since more than a year ago If it wasn't for Taeyeon who actually pushed INVU to be her tittle track and rv fmr SM would be Mia everywhere HYBE is eating all the big 3 in everything

Sheep Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 SM I'm going to need a Wendy solo cb as reparations for that terrible ******* mini. Boa PLEASE retire

Sheep Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 (edited) 1 hour ago, Eternium said: The problem here is that SM fans are stupid - they think that if GOT The Beat didn’t happen, SM would have given them content containing their fave artists and the notion there is laughable. They’re still working on Aespa’s full album, Red Velvet just came back in November, Taeyeon hasn’t recorded anything, Hyoyeon only comes back in summer to promote DJ festivals and BoA just released. If there was no GOT, there would be no female comebacks until late February or early March. Usually you spill FACTS but this post isn't it. You're right about snsd girls and boa BUT Birthday was filmed and recorded last spring/early summer and was obviously supposed to release on the group's anniversary. Both Red Velvet and luvies are begging the company to print themselves millions of dollars with a world tour at this point. If already overworked to the point of extreme injury and illness idols are begging for the extra workload of a tour, it's gone too far. All of this is not to mention SM's profit splits and how constantly keeping females from doing concerts is a form of wage discrimination. aespa has been constantly recording and scrapping demos since 2021 for their first album. They were the hottest debut since Black Pink and SM has wasted all of that momentum because of company internal politics and rushing into flashy record deals with US companies that literally do not care about aespa. They're still going to be fighting for #1/#2 with NewJeans and aren't over like people online want to pretend but SM could have handled things much better for them and avoided them having any competition at all. Both groups have been gravely mismanaged and being forced to prop up a dead legacy act after another dud release from her is just another example of the flagrant disrespect coming from SM for the groups that actually carry their reputation to the gp. 1 hour ago, Eternium said: The artists who gained the most from GOT The Beat are Aespa and Red Velvet. Hmm yeah exactly. It's not like I just pulled this out of thin air as some kind of excuse, because the song/album isn't doing as expected. This has been known, so I have no idea what that user is talking about. Some people are just apparently primed and ready to jump on anything with even the slightest anti-SM angle I guess

Like Water was fantastic, but it didn't prove anything we didn't already know...i.e. that she can SING circles around anyone else in her gen. When This Rain Stops was such an incredible vocal though. But I'd like her to serve the popstar energy she's been giving in GOT for a new solo release.

It's the reason NCT, Black Pink, BTS had such enormous album sales leads a few years back, they got individual deals that are now being expanded to the rest of the industry.
