I must admit that at first I didn't care for Stray Kids at all but after all the intrusive and aggressive propaganda and spamming on this forum I'm starting to like them more and more  :deadbanana4:

I just now that Hyunjin serving Jojo was the last straw for you and you had no choice but to stan :WAP:

But looks like the @Pluto2022 SKZ and Lee Know payola was effective, even for me I'm starting to fall on Lee Know and the Minsung ships

When you stan tabs :clap3:

ezgif.com-optimize.thumb.gif.768dcf0f3c4

But yeah, we are quite a handful of SKZ stans in here now, especially us that joined the forum in 2022-2023, and they the most popular boy group in this thread I think? I remember when I joined the forum last year and @xrosup was the only vocal SKZ stan in here :dies:  Then I came and spread as much SKZ propaganda as I could, and I'm glad it's working :clap3:I remember getting dragged by gg stans in here at first for mentioning SKZ (a boy group) in here, but I didn't give a f*ck. This then also gave courage to the other bg stans, who used to be intimidated  by the gg stans in here, and they also started to bring up their own bg faves more. In short I low key paved the way for all of you I fear :giraffe:

Now this thread has became way more diverse than ever before and we love to see it :clap3:

Speaking of propaganda:

@Witnessed ET Your Seventeen propaganda is starting to work on me I fear, and I'm kinda here for them especially Jun & DK :fish2:

The way I still haven't heard any of the unreleased aespa tracks they performed at their concert, since I don't wanna spoil myself. Which member has the best solo song and is Visuelle's solo song good? :emofish:

f(x)'s discog after 2012 still sounds great honestly, with a few duds here and there. Plus 4 Walls (song) is timeless and will always be a 10/10

The Pinochio album & their early singles do fall into the 'aged like milk' category along with most of the electropop from 2009-2011 tho I do agree. Of all groups, 4minute have it the worst, while SNSD largely avoided it and their title tracks still sound pretty good.

This was camp and silly even in 2010 but I still kinda love it :skull: Key's hair :ahh:

Minho is lucky he's that fine because those 'raps' :ahh:

I blame this song for the god awful girl crush noise trend we had to suffer through for YEARS. Even if it is a bop.

I unfollowed Hyuna on IG around over a year or two ago because her selfies, at the time, were starting to scare me :rip: decided to check up on her (its been a min since I've been into KPOP) and wow. Looking artsy and cute. A shame to hear she and Dawn broke up. But at least she's serving!

i just took a deeper look at her IG and im back to becoming concerned again :gaycat6: but...its cute. I was under the impression shes still coping with the breakup, hence the messy yet artsy looks. What makes you think they're back together ?

Its incredible just how wrong AND tasteless you manage to be. Globally relevant stadium act SHINee has been mentioned as an enormous inspiration to modern kpop as a whole by critics, idols, industry people, and the media. f(x) had a run of some of the best kpop albums for like 3 years but they don't come close to SHINee. Impact has nothing to do with sales anyway.:bunny:

This is exactly what I was talking about, like if any Western pop boy released this in 2010 and had the exact same MV and aesthetic including Key’s hair, they would get DRAGGED for filth :hoetenks:

And speaking of Minho’s rap, the way Mark, Taeyong and Giselle are the only actual decent rappers that has ever come out of SM :deadbanana2:

Except this type of sound is what was dominating radio all over the world in 2010 and it was so ahead that the main writer of that song went on to be a big force in the 2010s globally?

This is why I don't take KTRL serious. Just because SHINee doesnt have bot streams doesn't mean they didn't set the standards for choreo, vocals, concept, and musical quality that is going to this day with groups like TXT. :deadbanana4:

Like of all the SHINee songs to drag why are we going for the one that put a multiple diamond certified writer on the map and also completely changed how idol agencies approach choreograhpy? The repackage single making no splash and sounding like it was made for 9 year olds was right there but we have to be coming for a CLASSIC:bibliahh:

I was surprised to see the mixed reception for this one... and then I wasn't. :snowman:

The Nmixx of "Love me like that" is Nmixx as Nmixx is intended to sound. they very skillfully vacillates between a range of genres; French soultronica, then Jazzpop, then Latino RnB, then HipHop. (And yes, that's how they are supposed to do it.) They are sultry. They are goofy. They are sounds slightly absurd. They are fully engaged. They are expressive in ways that "technically cohesive" songs just aren't. They are brilliant. You have no idea how brilliant they are.

This is the probably purest attempt Nmixx has made to harness some of that ineffable charm that made Tank so irresistible. I adore it. :snowman:

Can you specify which part if Latino RnB I'm curious

This is plainly untrue and its funny to see a STAYC stan talk about being flops/infuential. SHINee popularized americanized aestehtics in the genre, were one of the first groups to self write on their albums, are one of the only boy groups to have actual influential solo careers, etc. SHINee are quite literally one of the most influential groups in Kpop. EVERY company covers SHINee songs. They're so impactful that TxT has quite literally been mirroring their career (because Bang PD is a shawol and obsessed w the group and their output). Their solo members sell out arenas and theaters for FANMEETS because they're still popular 15 years after their debut. Underplaying their sucess because it doesn't fit your narrative of second gen is funny. There are quite literally articles talking about how they stand the test of time because of their influence from WESTERN publications.

SHINee DID get dragged by western audiences but it didn't matter because they literally weren't targeting the western audience, they were targeting Korea and Asia. The company also literally didn't have any actual rappers until 3rd gen and even then Minho's English pronunciation is still better than Taeyong's unintelligible rapping. He's also a better songwriter than any NCT member and has more credits to his name despite not being a good singer/rapper. He's very dedicated to his career and has had a much longer one than most idols!

Not career retrospectives in a country they never debuted in. Not even BoA gets that kind of respect. :jonnycat:

SHINee's American popularity outside of the US and Canada was insane too and basically established kpop there. :bibliahh:
