I love how this is "breaking news" on every network. :alexz:

I screamed when I heard "we'll follow up on these developments"

Dynamic pricing was not enabled so no she’s not okay with that.

That literally did not even happen. Y’all really need to stop being intentionally dense

Well, then a swiftie lied to me. My bad for believing it.

this was basically just her saying "aw :( better luck next tour" in a pretentious essay format :skull:

i love how all the people complaining in here arent the ones trying to get her tickets:rip: like shut the **** up

if you think she can come up with a solution overnight or within a week then you should really get your brain checked:bibliahh: this is a monopoly we are talking about including the complexity of formal institutions like what even:bibliahh:

I just updated the other thread on this.

Antitrust division of Department of Justice seeking a split of the Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger years ago over Taylor Swift debacle.

I'm sorry, but that's ****ing power. :rip:

Actual, real impact. No changing hair colours/ Halloween costumes allowed.

The way OTHs are fuming at the mouth trying to blame Taylor for Ticketmaster's colossal issues, acting dense on purpose then being actual dense. I- :ahh:

The Justice Department have opened an investigation into the owner o @Ticketmaster following the chaotic presale for @taylorswift13 ’s ‘Eras Tour’

I don’t see how this is her problem.

What else is she supposed to do or say? There's literally not enough tickets for everybody who wants to see her. Do you think Glastonbury Festival issue a statement every damn year because people who wanted tickets weren't able to get them? ******* hell.

There was a lot of misinformation being spread because this is a developing situation. It’s ok.

She did opt out of dynamic pricing. The tickets fluctuate due to demand but dynamic pricing would’ve raised floor tickets to tens of thousands of dollars. They never even got past $1200.

Ticketmaster fumbled the presale codes. Why give out 3M codes to a show with ~3.2-3.8M seats.

Taylor did what she needed to do from her end.

also I’m not here acting like Taylor and I have a parasocial relationship. I know she’s a business. I understand that. But I also know she doesn’t just not give any shits at all. She can care without it meaning she personally “loves” us all to the extent some of the entitled fans believe she does.

:clap3:

all these fans who’ve literally gone to SS/met her before having tantrums over not getting tickets like let others have a chance, you can’t gatekeep the biggest musician in the world :deadbanana2:

she said exactly what she needed to say, it’s really out of her hands except for adding even more dates or doing some type of live stream

Her unprecedented tour and the resulting presale fiasco was the straw that broke the camels back and now the DoJ is investigating Ticketmaster. The way she has revolutionized the music industry time and time again. Now THAT is real impact, not cheap gimmicks and meat dresses :deadbanana4: and its funny to see stans of those fads in this thread fuming at the mouth :deadbanana4:

The fact this is already the most talked and impacting tour of the last 10 years and everyone is talking about it. When is about your faves i only discovered about the tour when the first performance is filmed on youtube. Makes you think: Capitalism is the right way after all?.

they've been gatekeeping her for a while now. They were having meltdowns leading up to the presale cuz they feel entitled to a ticket :deadbanana4: its peak privilege and it mostly comes from white women :deadbanana4: they were also trying to establish rules on how to dress out of all things too :deadvision:

I mean i totally get that it’s frustrating and annoying when you can’t even see someone who’s been your fav for over a decade but there’s just no realistic way to prioritize that??? fill out a questionnaire to prove how long you’ve been a fan?? be required to have a Taylor stan twitter account?? like be serious :rip:

however i do think a big fumble was allowing you to purchase up to 6 tickets in the presale, they should have a limit of 2 per code, yall dont need your whole family going to a Tay show :deadbanana2:

Is this why she released a statement when she didn't have to? :deadbanana4:

which actually puts her at legal risk as Ticketmaster doesn't want to split from Live Nation from what she's implying :coffee2:

The fumes in here, you would think she committed some awful crime :rip:

She said what needed to be said but the situation should have never gotten this big. It was a website glitch, nobody died :rip:

This. I completely understand the frustration with the glitchy website and the codes and whatever, but it’s just not that deep.

And even if the website ran seamlessly, there are a finite amount of tickets. Not everyone who wants to go can go, short of touring the US for like 2 years straight there’s no way she’ll ever reach demand.

And yet she made this post saying she does anyways. Did she tell you otherwise? :shakeno: Because you commenting on it indicates that you care enough to contribute to the conversation. Same applies to her.

Not a single person has offered any solution or statement that would “prove she cared” because there isn’t one. She’s not at fault and yet she still made a statement anyways.

I mean, did y'all ready the statement :deadbanana4:

It's pretty obvious she doesn't care about the disaster this turned into.  And I never said it was Taylor's fault, I just would have thought a statement would have come quicker instead of releasing late hour Anti-Hero remixes to try to stay #1.  She got her money, she's reviling in the fact that so many people bought tickets, she's living her best life right now and that's obviously all that matters to her.

good statement :clap3:
i can understand frustrations over not being able to get tickets... i mean HELLO there are millions of swifties outside the anglosphere countries like me who are begging for opportunities to see her, yet the entitled cupcakke US swifties with main character syndrome think Taylor owes them a ticket just because they post YASSS queen under every single Taylor Nation post and they bought all 1319391 willow remixes :bibliahh:
The sale should have been spread out and the presale code should be necessary to enter the queue instead of using it at checkout but besides that its not her fault there is too much demand :gaycat6:

the way she said NOTHING after "Well." :dies:

How about "I APOLOGISE"? She was silent for DAYS, could've reacted sooner and maybe Ticketmaster would've done something about it. Now it's too late, she got her money I guess that's all she cared about.

She started the statement saying how she is so protective over her fans to end the whole thing basically saying “better luck next time” :bibliahh:

this woman is a SCAM.
