Now is interesting to think, did Luminate investigate Rihanna's sales and lowered them or did they have a typo? Or was it all a bigger fraud to make it seem as she was close to motivate fans?

Anyways each day more embarassing for the "tribute" song

I would’ve guessed it was a typo if they had edited it from 27,000 to 17,000, but the 16 is too random and different. Seems like they audited the sales, which makes a lot sense, the actual numbers never made any sense at all.

My fav is just taking L after L. This is so humiliating :jonny3:

Definitely not a Rihanna comeback we were all rooting for.

Taylor ending Adele and Rihanna, who would've thought

Billboard was probably sitting with their calculators and desperately trying out different formulas to see if there was one that would put LMU at #1 and then when they couldn’t make the numbers add up they changed it back :coffee:

Thank god this isn't going #1 then. Her string of organic #1's will stay intact

At all, I don't know what she or her team were thinking. If this was for the Oscar, and she still ends up losing :rip:. And even if she wins, was it really worth it? She could've easily had a smash doing 10+ mill daily and legit sales. Instead she wastes all this hype on this snooze fest (beautiful song tho). I worried that she may have lost her touch after being away for so long because this is not shaping out to be a good decision. :deadbanana2:

She's going to have to start working her way back by releasing bops consistently but I don't see that happening. This truly may be the beginning of the end of her musical relevance.:dancehall3:

A certified fraud, just like Beyonce :clownny:

Navy you gotta admit... This is shady. It was already odd enough all the predictors were off and were hestiant to estimate the sales once the 27k was reported.

But now this? :rip:

pls, if Taylor survived ME!, Rihanna can survive Lift Me Up :dies: she'll be back to making bops and everyone will forget this mess ever happened, sad for Chadwick Boseman though that his name is associated with this travesty

Billboard is so incompetent. It's sad that the RS charts didn't take off.

I know everyone is considering it a fraud, but, it could just be a simple manifesting it to happen that happened to get outplayed. BB saw that it couldn't be done and maybe they realized that there would be bad press if they went along with bad numbers.

Oh na na. Fraud’s my name.

It's probably not their fault. I mean, they won't check and filter the data as soon as the artist report

Taylor clearly cares about her musical legacy and stats. After Lover underperformed, she came out with a new album barely a year later, and has been feeding her fans consistently + pulling out all the tricks to make sure her music is successful. All that effort revived her catalog and she's been keeping the momentum going by being active. Rih has already said she feel like she has accomplished all she desires musically. I doubt she's going to have the drive do what Taylor has done.:dancehall3:

It's a kii how her entire career has been built on fraud and payola, and she's only now getting exposed for it :toofunny3: time is truly the ultimate truth teller

Diamonds went #1 everywhere and was huge.

As for Rude Boy, they had to do something to save Rated R

I'd still wait for the actual lead to make any conclusions. Tbh I think it will do really really well. But this whole situation is definitely a buzz killer of massive proportions, particularly since they drew so much unnecessary (negative) attention to it.

Like she would have gotten a cute top 5 debut with this and we would all agree that it was a very decent performance for a lullaby soundtrack single, but now a #2 suddenly looks like an epic fail
