I was actually really excited for this one… I like the videos for title track and Mood Ring but y’all made it sound like every single one that came after that is terrible 

All the videos this era are almost the same I-

 

wasn’t feeling it when it first dropped. yesterday, this entire album hit me hard.

The problem I have with this era-- and I did my homework and listened to the entirety of Solar Power (the album) and watched all the music videos this era-- is that there's nothing that really "separates" the videos from each other. If you put all 4 music videos on mute, and within a year I had to guess which song paired with each music video, I probably could not tell you. Maybe for Solar Power I could, since that's the first video that was released. 

 

I don't despise the album Solar Power, and I truly like the lead single, but this era was just so anticlimactic. I didn't expect Melodrama 2.0 (Even Melodrama is a departure from Pure Heroine, at least in terms of sound/production, and I quite liked PH), but yeah, this era was a misfire. Lorde can do better and has. 

I really enjoyed this. Made me like the song.
