Pelosi has said that she wants a strong Republican Party more than once though?ย :rip:

But itโ€™s out of context, which equates to fake news. Stop it.ย

Democrats didnโ€™t want to vote for Tulsi because Tulsi is practically a Republican/Libertarian. ย

In no context does it make sense for a Democrat to say that we need a strong Republican Party while the Republican Party has been successfully overthrowing Civil Rights despite not controlling either chamber of Congress or the White House. The Republican Party is plenty strong and Pelosi's comment is indefensible regardless of the context.

Not while she was running for president, to be fair

ย

She shifted right after the primary ended - I feel like the specific moment was when Kamala's cop ass was chosen to be VP

She never had 100% support for LGBT. ย She had a problematic history, and reverted back to being a TERF as soon as it was clear she wasnโ€™t getting the nom.ย

The 100% support is referring to her time in Congress (as of when the Dem primary ended)

ย

Not defending Tulsi regarding her post-primary ideology on social issues, but neolibs like Biden and Hillary have had problematic history too, and Hillary continues to be a TERF

ย

ย

oh Kamala too

Too many normie Dems buy into the idea that Hillary was owed the nomination. This is not some monarchy, people have to earn the nominations, but some Dems want pre-ordained candidates for some reason.ย

That's why I fully expect Kamala to be the next nominee after Biden. Every establishment-friendly Dem will be bullied out of the race and everyone who doesn't follow the DNC's orders to stay out of her way will be smeared into pariahdom.

Idk, I think the DNC will push Gavin Newsom/Liz Cheney as the โ€œunity ticketโ€ or some bs.ย :rip:

I'll give Biden credit for saying, when asked, that there are "at least three genders." Whether he truly believes that or not, I don't know, but it shows he can be perceptive to some talking points coming from progressive points of mind. :gaycat1:ย

ย

That said, his and Kamala's chronic inability to even say the word "abortion" is... disheartening. The people they're avoiding upsetting with that word won't even vote for them anyway, so there's no point skirting around it. :skull:ย

If they unironically choose Liz Cheney for anything, I'm giving up on them completely and forever. There's seriously no excuse for that, especially after her celebrating the overturning of Roe v. Wade. ******* disgusting.

I would be just okay if I never heard about Tulsi Gabbard again.

Can Hillary like go away forever please. The fact that she's being included in 2024 polls :rip:ย As the rot that has sickened the Democratic party, she is just SO toxic - as are her cultlike supporters that still champion all her BS

Posted (edited)

Even "#TeamPelosi" is implying that Biden isn't a Democratย :skull:

ย

I mean, it's true - but even THEY are admitting it

Tulsi just feels like a conservative. It's the way she presents herself, the people she chooses to attack, the issues she chooses to elevate. Sure, she nominally supported M4A during the primary - but was she out there fighting for it non-stop like Bernie? She's always been about reactionary political stunts, even when she was posing as a progressiveย :cm:

ย

It's why conservatives all like her, policy aside, and why liberals and some sharper progressives like Ana at TYT have always (correctly, funnily enough) perceived her as untrustworthy.

ย

This is not true.. Liberals hated her because she (correctly) called Hillary a warmonger.ย :toofunny3:

ย

Liberals are why navigating criticizing Tulsi for ages was so tough because their criticisms of her were across the board bad. No, being against regime change is not bad. No, not liking Hillary doesn't make someone a Russian spy.

ย

And while Tulsi's reactionary trans hate has made it silly and unserious to bother defending her, I don't think liberals can consider that a point for their 'distrust' of her given how we now know that she and Hillary Clinton both share the view that trans people are burdensome and politically dispensable.ย

ย

Tulsi is a gross reactionary on nearly all social issues yet still somehow had the most progressive voting record out of all 4 of Hawaii's elected Congressional Democrats. Ed Case is literally a DINO. Brian Schatz actively resents native Hawai'ians and sees the state as nothing but a military base, while Mazie Hirono is feckless in her lack of support for progressive policies despite representing the deepest blue yet most unequal state.

ย

Yes, Tulsi is bad, but that just highlights how bad all of Hawaii's elected Democrats have been and are.

Sure you're right. I forget that the blue check twitter zombies are liberals.

ย

Tulsi aggressively went after Hillary, but then turned around and endorsed Joe Biden after wearing kid gloves with him for the entire primary. During the primary she went after Warren & Kamala, while leaving Joe & Bernie alone.

ย

Like her conservative fans, she shows disproportionateย disdain for female democrats compared to male democrats, regardless of policy. It's indicative of her regressive social inclinations. Even if you agree with the attacks on people like Kamala (as I did), it's good to be aware that she may not be attacking her for the right reasons. Politics should be about the material needs of constituents, not about destroying people or groups you don't like. The latter is the politics Tulsi represents.

Posted (edited)

WARren and everyone to her right is bad tbh, but at least Tulsi had (and occasionally continues to have) some good anti-establishment moments, unlike many of the corporate/corrupt/warmongering establishment shills (like Hillary, Biden, Pelosi, etc) in that category

ย

She dragged Pete too tho (in before "we know why" :skull:)

ย

Ubvsntn.jpg

ย

ย

She basically called him a coward

ย

ย

Tulsi was very clearly trying to get VP so she was being nice to Biden by not attacking him (plus they were friends - probably not anymore tho since she's calling him a treasonous, authoritarian dictator on TV lol)

ย

ย

and she's friends with Bernie too of course, having endorsed him in 2016 (so conservative!) and being listed as his VP in the 2016 California GE

ย

ย

aaaa, a classic

Queen of moving LEFT since the primary ended tho (unlike Biden, as if his broken campaign promises weren't right-wing enough already), we love to see it :wanda:ย and at her mature age - it's never too late to become more progressive :clap3:

A young soul :clap3:ย we love the "you may have a young body, but you're stuck in the 1950s"-esque dragย

It reminds me of when Cori Bush used the term โ€œbirthing peopleโ€ once when discussing almost dying giving birth, and everyone focused on the fact that she used โ€œwokeโ€ language and totally ignored the substance of what she was saying regarding black womenโ€™s health.ย

Tulsi is sooooo 2018, let's leave her in the past. Newsom looks like he's starting to get together to run in the future.
