Not for fundraising for the base it isn't. As I mentioned in the other thread, it's a glaring error of political strategy, when the current DOJ investigation on Hunter is focused very little on the actual laptop in question. 

 

If they want to waste political capital focusing on Twitter post-gutting, they're welcome to it. Hauling in ex-employees when they've already moved to other sectors  It's not like they're getting prosecutions out of this
