2024 US Election Megathread 🇺🇸🏛️

Message added by Lee!!,

It was decided based on feedback from the spring 2023 town hall to transition this thread back to being election specific. With the Civics section being able to house specific threads on many issues, we think having a generalized politics thread is not completely necessarily anymore.

With that said, please continue to be respectful and remember that you do not always need to respond to everyone.

It always comes back to wanting the Democrats to fail. How predictable. :dies:

Not the Democrats. Just Jeffries, because he's a HORRIBLE person and doesn't deserve to be anywhere NEAR a position of power. Doing so will be a big reason why Democrats might not gain the majority in 2024. :heart2:

Hmmmmmm, I think not. :ahh:

Anyway

This guy is a clown. He really thinks he did something by standing in line and not voting for either? Wouldn’t be surprised if he actually voted for Herschel and didn’t want to admit it. :bibliahh:

Ayanna too, but she’s a liberal that goes along to get along like Shontel Brown, so she’s by far the least surprising.

Yeah, the House Democrats LOVE Clyburn for putting a stop to Bernie’s presidential run so they were never going to not give him whatever position he wanted to hold onto. Cicilline embarrassed himself with this long shot bid. :michael:

The Dems did historically better than they have in decades with an incumbent president. Imagine him sitting behind Biden during the state of the Union speech? :jonny2:

This was in-spite of Dems doing everything in their power to lose. :deadbanana4: it’s just so difficult to not mock users who come in here to discuss politics, and then show themselves how he completely ignorant. We know why Dems did better. We know that many came out without taking into account Biden or Dem leadership. It was voters rebuking the theocracy being brought by Republicans.

Hillary now essentially being the representative of the 2010 Atheist+ movement. :clap3:Such a movement to galvanize in 2022.

Ooph Lefty Twitter is a MESS right now on the rail bill. I've gone down too many rabbit holes on this and have a headache.

Joe Biden and those 80 Senators are evil, Union-busting pieces of ****.

This has solidified my not voting for him in 2024. Ossoff is going to lose in 2026, quite possibly to Kemp if he runs.

@Espresso The union she consulted would not be affected by this at all of this so what you've posted is just moot in defence of her. The rail union did NOT want a strike-break deal.
