2024 US Election Megathread 🇺🇸🏛️

Message added by Lee!!,

It was decided based on feedback from the spring 2023 town hall to transition this thread back to being election specific. With the Civics section being able to house specific threads on many issues, we think having a generalized politics thread is not completely necessarily anymore.

With that said, please continue to be respectful and remember that you do not always need to respond to everyone.

The fact that Biden still hasnt said anything publically or online about the federal judge blocking student loan debt program:rip:

Biden is not an Attention W**** like every other politician. They are going through the appropriate channels to appeal the ruling. :coffee2:

I wonder if she can be scared into stopping siding with Republicans, especially if Dems get a 51 seat majority

Anyone know when we'll know about boebert? Surely that's the last senate seat to be called?

What happened to the congresswoman’s seat who d word from a car crash a few months ago?

I’m assuming it was one of the 2 open seats and that it got filled by another republican as of Tuesday. Don’t remember her name but can someone else confirm?

At this point, I think it’s well accepted that she’s jockeying for lobbyist money rather than civil office. Think of her more as a grifter. In the same vein as if Tulsi Gabbard had won a Senate seat.

If she was truly worried about her political future, she’d be moving more strategically like Manchin, for example. It’s much easier to understand how he arrives at his conclusions than Sinema. Which is a major red flag.

The way their strategy of ****ting on queer people didn’t pay off the way they expected it to but they’re still sticking with that because they just can’t help themselves :rip:

I looked it up and found that another Republican won the special election and very likely the regular election.

Party Candidate Votes % ±%
  Republican Rudy Yakym  125,222  64.6
  Democratic Paul Steury 62,726 32.4
  Libertarian William Henry 5,782 3.0
Total votes 193,730  100.0

Watching Republican pundits and pollsters flailing around is such a dopamine hit!

The way they think promoting Ted Cruz or Rand Paul to leadership in the Senate or Gaetz or MTG in the House will ingratiate them to voters.

They’re headed in the complete OPPOSITE direction from where they need to go. :deadbanana4:
